I'm a primitive Addict. I'm Diane I own A Primitive Journey.com and A Primitive Journey community Forum so I can get my prim fix daily and have met such a wonderful array of gals through my forum I'm almost 45 years old married 27 years to my grade school sweetheart we have 2 grown kids
Amanda 26 and Justin 23 we also have 4 grandbabies 4 and under and 3 fur puppys that are all spoiled rotten.

Closed my website and changes
Hello I know some of you may be confused, I closed my online website to try and save on expenses so I'm going to begin adding a few things to my blog here and there and use this as a selling blog in addition to my regular blog..If there is ever anything

News with the Community:
New Bingo game is starting on Monday January 11th if you would like to play be sure and get your list of words to us before the deadline posted, this is going to be a Valentines bingo game and the prize is a prim goody for Spring.
Also taking signups for a Valentines inspired swap this is also posted on the forum
with complete details... these swaps are so much fun and we always end up with the neatest prim things so we sure hope you will join us for all the fun..

News and Happenings
Well for some reason this year I just never quite could get into the Holiday Spirit and Christmas is my favorite Holiday but this year just wasn't feeling it I was very bah hum bug this year, then 2 days before Christmas My Cousin Barbara Ann and her 18 year old son CJ who live in Tennessee were driving home from a drs appt when something went terribly wrong and she swerved to the right and hit a tree head on, there were airlifted to the larger hospital in Nashville, and both had injuries that were just beyond repair and they both died my family have all had very heavy hearts since then and Christmas was just no longer a top priority, Barbara was a few years older than me and was always a favorite of mine she could make you laugh and almost nothing her laugh was contagious and her smile made you feel welcome and comfortable
she was amazing and had hundreds of people attend the showing and funeral as proof
of her amazing personality she was just so loveable I will miss her beyond words.
And on to other heartbreaking news: I have decided to close down my website http:aprimitivejourney.com I have had it since 2005 and I had put everything I
had into that site but slow economy has taken its toll and I can no longer bear
the struggle of maintaining it, needless to say this has been another burden to
bear this Holiday Season which brought me to the decision to just give it up and
close it and I sure will miss my baby... Until next time Happy New Year to all!

Christmas Egg Nog
I was at Goodwill yesterday and found this really old milk bottle for .99 I grabbed it up knowing instantly what I would do with it.. I came home and made myself an old
pantry eggnog label,and now have the bottle displayed for the holidays in my kitchen
on top of my old scale.. The label is in the widget box on the left feel free to use
it, you may not claim it as your own or sale the label by itself, if you want to share the label with your friends etc, please direct them to my blog to get there own. HAPPY HOLIDAYS DIANE

SO IRRITATED LATELY
We have always been a very traditional family having always had Thanksgiving dinner at my moms house, but this year 1 of my brothers decided for the family that we would
go to a restaurant this year instead of having our traditional Thanksgiving, I'm livid, what makes him think he can speak for the whole family, so my 83 year old mom
decided we would try it this year so not to upset the Holiday, WHAT!!!!! I'm so tempted to skip the whole ordeal as a protest but I would hate to upset or dissapoint
my mom.. Both of kids have informed me that they will make other plans this year because they don't want to participate in this CRAP!!!! What do I do.. go... not go... this particular brother is a total IDIOT~

Terry is a home decor designer. She is a very good one. She gave up her paying job to commit herself fulltime in making over shelters where abused women and kids are staying in. SOMETHING I HAVE DONE and can agree they all do like some shell of yucky emptyness. i cried when i visited her blog. I cried so hard. GOd has answered my prayers. I know now what I can do. I begged the lord please dont give me something I cant handle but I will do what ever it is you ask of me. And please let it be something I CAN do and do well. I can sew...I can remake. I can spread joy, i can hold a hand. i can give hugs and I can totally help with any make over locally or far away. Every little bit counts and I want to spread joy and I want smiles. And i know this is the way to do it.

Hope you enjoy the pictures we took while on vacation out west we went to Wichita
for a weekend visit with hubbies mom who has colon cancer.. :(
Then we went to Denver Colorado, Salt Lake City Utah and Cheyenne,Laramie and Cody Wyoming.. We had a wonderful time and being on the ground looking up at the mountains
in SLC with snow capping them while we were in Tshirts and no jackets I loved that
part..
