Why do I buy new journals all the time? I decided I needed this leather one from Barnes and Noble because it was leather and awesome and had no interior labels of any kind, and I have filled one page so far, but man. I have so many mostly-empty journals lying around.
"Wow, I was holding back all of my most wonderful secret secrets before, but THIS baby is just SO suitable for containing them! Look how antiquey! I'm totally gonna be the next Leonardo da Vinci now or something, with all of my private mental majesty recorded for all time! I'll shape up and write Poems and chronicle my whole life and everything instead of 'wow, this pear tastes really good' before giving up and filling it with spirals and triangles and whatnot, this time for sure!"

I love each and every one of you really! Every time I remember to go on LJ I go to my friendslist and look at each and every one of your entries. I do.

Last night I was looking at the sky and saw just this one... event? of what was probably just lightning, but I'm having fun not being convinced and pretending it was something else. Anyway, the big soft cloud-filling kind, not the bolt kind. And it was in little spots that just came and went within the same general area of cloud, rather than flickering.
It was really pretty :D
Also, I graduated... 5 1/2 weeks ago now?

(I didn't even know I wanted this game after the review warned me of ALL RANDOM BATTLES, ALL THE TIME, but it turns out I did! :D It's adoooorable, everyone go get it. Also, it was important to me, for reasons known only to God, that the main guy be named Minnow. And so he is. Minnow, Earl, Lapis and Cliff! Together we are the WARRIORS OF THE LIGHT! I love finding all the little secret things and I care about what happens to everybody. It's so sweet.)

You see, my nice old mp3 player had found an innovative way of not working: Acknowledge the presence of a battery, but claim it is out of charge, or more often, simply turn right back off again. So I asked for the money because I figured I'd be replacing it, yes? --WELL.
I took my poor little one to Fry's with me when I went shopping and, lo and behold, I found a guy in an official Creative shirt and said HEYMISTER! My thing is broken. An' he said do you have it with you and I said yes I do. And he said well hm let me see it. So he saw it and we talked, and he was all "it's probably the battery" and I was like "no I tried more than one." And he said hm. And he went to the shelf and got a little cheapie off-brand battery and put it in. AND IT WORKED T_T
and he said See this one this yours here the amperage on it is too high I guess and I praised him for his smartness, and gave him a firm handshake, and bought the battery. For fifteen dollars.

Christmas
From 9:00 AM Sunday to 7:00 PM Tuesday, the last few days of finals, I had two donuts, perhaps three small candy bars, and three and a half hours of sleep.
After 7:00 PM Tuesday, I got into bed (forgetting to log off AIM; sorry everybody) and slept until 4... and then till 9:45... and then 11. I had a parade of dreams where I had wings, or was going on a field trip through space, or was at Disneyworld.
What did I learn? I learned how to make writing essays go faster, and that I can be pretty danged stoic if the need arises, and that John Lennon's "Happy Christmas" is a totally depressing song, and that I love looking at the sky.
It feels like a week of distance between me and Tuesday. But then, 16 hours is a lot of sleep.
