Just arrived – an oustanding Conde Hermanos negra – incredible low action, very easy to play … and with a loud, very flamenco sound. This is a special quality Conde. For full details and photos, see the listing in the £2000 – £10,000 section on the home page.

Phil Batten

The José Antonio (Fleta copy) guitar is a delight to play. The quality of goods on offer was very high. All this and the ability to choose in unhurried, friendly surroundings … great coffee too

Roland Scharbatke 2008 spruce

Just arrived – a 2008 Roland Scharbatke, spruce-fronted concert guitar, owned by Christopher Stell (of Eden-Stell duo). This is an impressive instrument, light in weight, with a rich, deep bass and clear, projecting treble. See photos and full details in the GBP 2,000-10,000 listing on the home page.

UK VAT returns to 17.5% from 1st January

From 1st of January 2010, UK VAT returns to 17.5% from the current 15%. Personally I expected it to go above 17.5% and still expect a further rate increase later in the year – after all, we are all going to have to pay sometime soon for the financial mess created in the banking world this year. So if you want to avoid the increase, make your purchase before the year ends.

Petr Matousek – 2008

Just in – a 2008 Indian & spruce Petr Matousek concert guitar – for photos and full description, see the listing in the Euros 2,000 – 10,000 section on the homepage.
