RIM thinks it’s necessary for BlackBerry users to wear a wrist watch, which can receive alerts of incoming messages on their BlackBerry smartphones via Bluetooth, while their BlackBerry devices are some little distance away. The BlackBerry Bluetooth Watch was first heard about in August, and now it’s got a more solid evidence that it’s a real deal, which will come as an accessory for BlackBerry.
As mentioned the BlackBerry Bluetooth watch lets you receive notifications or messages that have arrived on your BlackBerry smart phone. This watch features a nice OLED display that should make it prominent enough for you to be alerted of your messages. This Bluetooth watch might be named BlackBerry inPulse, which sounds like getting your wrist pulse to stay fully alerted with your incoming messages. But the name isn’t confirmed yet and there is no info on the pricing and availability.
These new kits from Lego combine two of my favorite things: Lego and paper crafting.
MUJI partners with iconic building-block company Lego on a super fun new concept. Together they're encouraging us to think outside the blocks ... by punching Lego-sized holes in paper... Available November 27th at MUJI Japan - just in time for the Holiday season. US and European MUJI locations have yet to confirm stock.
I'll be coveting these until they reach the States! [via @allthingspaper]
It first surfaced last week, but today Peek officially announced the availability of the TwitterPeek, a version of their handheld device designed exclusively for accessing and publishing content on Twitter. Now Twitter power users might find the device a bit limiting since the lack of a web browser prevents you from following links, and the lack of a camera prevents you from uploading your own photos, but you can pretty much do everything else including viewing twitpic images, following other Twitterers and posting replies or direct messages.
At the moment the TwitterPeek is available in a $99.99 version that includes 6 months of service followed by a $7.95 per month fee, or the previously rumored $199.99 version that includes a lifetime of service.
The project Bee House, created by the Irish designer James Ennis, is the winner of the European Design Award for a sustainable present, assigned by an international jury that examined over 100 works.
This project organised by the EESC is the first “green public procurement” project of a European institution.
“United in diversity, living with the bio diversity” was the winning design concept behind “Bee house”, which consisted of a box with windows that had flowers and was actually a room for bees. This highlighted the importance of the vital role of bees in food production and life in particular.
"A small TeslaCoil fully made of acrylic plastic. The cool thing about this is that every part is transparent. This coil is driven by the power supply of my large DC Teslacoil. Total height 44cm, max output voltage +- 380.000 Volts (57cm arc length)."
