Sreesanth back in Indian Team
The selection of Sreesanth raised eyebrows as the Kerala pacer has not really done anything sig
nificant in the domestic circuit since recovering from a back injury.
The selection s
eems all the more baffling given the fact that the bowler, who has a history of disciplinary indiscretions, was only last month given a final warning by the BCCI to mend his ways.
The 26-year-old Sreesanth will return to the Test fold after more than a year having played his last Test in April 2008 against South Africa in Kanpur.
Indian pacer S Sreesanth got the final warning from the Kerala Cricket Association for repeatedly violating the code of conduct.
Sreesanth, who is the captain of the Kerala Ranji cricket team, has been repeatedly violating team discipline. He
warning for sreesanth from KCA
has also stayed away from the ongoing conditioning camp, the KCA said.
The KCA president warned Sreesanth that further occurrence of such behaviour would be viewed very seriously by the KCA.“Perhaps, this was the first time that such a meeting was held in the State’s cricketing history. Sreesanth has been abstaining from the coaching camp without prior permission for non-cricketing reasons. Such a repeated violation of the model code of conduct is not expected from a player of his stature. On account of this, the KCA has decided to warn him,” KCA secretary T C Mathew told newsmen after the emergency meeting of the selection committee at the KCA Complex in Thiruvananthapuram .
Captian of City cricketers is not decided yet. But The captian of Kerala team will be Sreesanth.

Any body expect Sreesanth to be the captian of city Cricketers ? Mohanlal and Priyadarshan may bring Sreesanth to the team. Currently he is the only Kerala based player representing Indian Cricket team.
Can sreesanth be the captian of Team ?
Sreesanth is playing for King’s XI Punjab now. His form is not as good as the previous season. But everybody knows that he is a much capable player. He can be explosive on his day.
Known for his aggression , he is expected to be the main player for the team. But can he become the captian of the team ?
In T20 everything can happen. So lets wait and see !!
Former Indian allrounder Robin Singh has been signed to be the technical director of the team.
Priyadarsan says : “Thanks to Shah Rukh Khan, we were able to send five promising lads — Mohammed Niaz, Mohammed Sanuth, Rohan Prem, P Prashanth and teenage batting sensation Sanju V Samson — to attend the selection trials of the Kolkata Knight Riders. They might not have made it to the team, but they got to see how international players train and the exposure has helped them”
What mohanlal says: “We’re trying to nurture local talent, as the most successful IPL players this year have been little known guys like Manish Pandey, Pragyan Ojha, and Kamran Khan. There are a lot of youngsters in the small towns of Kerala and Tamil Nadu waiting to get a break. They have the talent, but lack exposure and world class training facilities”.
Film industry and Cricket are the most glamorous fields in India. Film stars are alwyas showed their great interest in cricket.
Sharukh , Preity Zinta, and shilpa shetty are already involved in IPL with their respective teams. Now Malayalam Film super star Mohanlal and director Priyadarshan are all set to float Asin as the brand ambassador of City cricketers.

Mohanlal and priyadarshan are expecting Shashi Tharoor , the exteranal affairs minister to be a part of the new cricket team.
Mr Shashi Tharoor is expected to be the chairman of the City cricketers team. But the main concern is that whether Tharoor can take this position as he is a Minister. So some legal clarfications are also needed before finalizing the decision.
If Tharoor takes this charge it will be a boost to the whole supporters of city cricketers.
City cricketers is the latest Team to register in the Indian premier league. This team is owned by Famous Malayalam actor Mohanlal and Famous Director Priyadarshan.
Both Mohanlal and priyadarshan were friends from child hood and “city cricketers” were the name of their local team.
They have approched Shashi Tharoor the union minister for External Affairs to be the Chairman of the team. Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has given the full support for the team.
Now they need to contact BCCI to get the approval. If they get the approval then in 2010 IPL T20 there will be one more team to participate.
Some NRI’s and corporates are willing to help the team. The project will cost more than 200 Crores and the team will be having a ground near Kovalam.
