Rental Vacations
There's one thing that the internet (or, to be really accurate, the web) allows us to do which is really making life duifferent now. It's not just that email replaces letters, or IM phone calls. Rather, we've all got access to huge amounts of information that in previous decades we simply could never have found.
Take something seemingly as trivial as a vacation. We would essentially have been limited to either seeing friends or going where a travel agent suggested we did. Now, not only can we search for whatever we desire, companies like Rentalo can aggregate huge amounts of information to make it easy for us to do so. Take a look, for example, at their Kissimmee vacation homes. You can see photos of what hte properties look like, you can debate how many rooms you want and if you make a decision then you can go right ahead and book something with minimum pain or fuss. That sort of option simply wasn't available only a decade ago.
If that's not enough then you can look at their Breckenridge condos, or perhaps their Siesta Key beach vacation rentals. It shouldn't be all that tough in fact to find something to suit just about any and every taste and budget. For they are the largest company offering vacation rentals. 15,000 destinations worldwide, 120,000 properties and 5.2 million happy travellers have made use of them. Very definitely worth checking out.
Mel B in topless show
Mel B and Kelly Monaco are set to star in a topless, burlesque-style show called PEEPSHOW. The show is expected to open in March at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Las Vegas. Unfortunately neither of the lead ladies will be topless but the other showgirls will be. Mel B says she will be, "scantily clad, but in a classy way." Not quite sure what that means! Mel will play "Peep Diva" who empowers Monaco's character, "Little Bo Peep." Mel says the part of "Peep Diva is perfect for her because, "As a Spice Girl I would bring guys on the stage and whip them, so I think I've always been slightly naughty." She wasn't called Scary Spice for nothing. It is expected that the show will have a rotation of celebrities playing the two roles.

Kimberlee Ouwroulis has been sacked from her job as a stripper. Kimberlee is forty-four and believes that is the reason she was given the sack. She says, "The manager called me into the office June 6, sat me down, looked at me directly and I quote, 'Your time is up here,' and I asked, 'Why? Is it my age?' Now Kimberlee is not your average stripper as she did not start in the business until she was forty but she felt that she had a couple more years before giving up the job. Having seen a picture of Kimberlee I have to say she looks mighty fine to me. Kimberlee is currently working at another club while her complaint goes through the system.

Holiday frames
This is one of those ideas that a few years ago we would simply think to be ridiculous. When getting prescription glasses used to cost $200 or $300 a pair then no one would go and buy a special pair Holiday frames just for this time of the year. Wear something just for a day or two at that price? However, now that glasses have come down so much in price it's simple enough to do something like that. Seriously, now that you can get proper prescription glasses (a pair of which from this company I am wearing as I type this) for onlyu $9.95 why wouldn't you get a new pair of special Holiday frames? Something special to go with your outfit for the party? You might spend that much on other accessories for an outfit, so why not cheer up your glasses at the same time? 
These little delights have that holiday touch after all. Green and red, holly and Santa. To me it's a measure of how the world has changed, how great globalisation is really. It's made things which formerly were expensive, things that we had to think about, plan for, their purchase, have now become simple pleasures that we can buy cheaply just or the holidays. That's an advance, isn't it?
