Buyer Beware! This is NOT comparable to Dyson. We have had so many issues with this vacuum it's not even funny! We recieved this vacuum a year and half ago because we registered for it for our wedding. We have had nothing but problems since. First, this does lose suction. If you have a dog, it will lost suction. If you have carpet, it will lose suction. As others have said, it is very difficult to clean and we can't seem to keep up. This vacuum is practically the same machine as the WAY overpriced and overhyped Miele. And it costs a little more than half what the Miele Antares sells for. The motor seems to be the same in that it has great suction and sounds the same. The bags are small (a problem shared by most vacuums today), being only a gallon in size, and the cord is way too short. The onboard attachments are...well, a joke. They are tiny and even worse than those on the Miele. Get some better tools that fit it at a vacuum store.

It actually isn't that heavy I weighed it and its 14 lbs with the cord on the ground as it would be in use. most good vacuums weigh in at this weight or are heavier. The handle is strong and I regularly pick up from the handle not the head as some cheap vacs require. This vac kicks Kirby's butt which weighs more costs more and isnt near as serviceable. Westinghouse WST1600A Unplugged Cord-Free Vacuum
First of all, it makes noise recharging, but that only lasts for about a half an hour when you put the battery in the charger. My difficulty was getting the batteries into the conditioning mode for the first time. After much panic and experimentation, I found that if you run the battery completely dead on the vacuum, then when you put in on the charger, it is possible to push the conditioning button and the charger will go into conditioning mode.
Once the batteries charge for about 24 hours in this mode, it works great. Much better than the little Fantom I had and with a larger dust...

Before getting this product we had a disposable filter. I like having something I can wash and reuse. Two weeks after getting this filter I put the vacuum bag in wrong and had dust all over inside the vacuum. What a huge mess. I washed the filter and couldn't believe all the junk that came out. Royal RY8300 Everlast Upright Vacuum Cleaner
I have had a Royal upright vacuum for almost 10 years and the only thing that has gone wrong is a broken spring that holds up the handle.
The only 'bad' feature to this model is that using attachments is the biggest hassle and I have never used mine because of it. You have to remove the belt to attach the hose and putting the belt back on is extremely hard.

This has been the worst vac ever used. It puts out more dirt than it picks up. No power in hose when in use. The filters are always full and difficult to empty. I did research and was looking for a Sharp or Bissell, but came across this and decided to give it a try. I'm sure that it isn't sturdy, but contrary to comments read elsewhere, it DOES pick up cat hair easily, and more importantly, it DOES pick up cat litter. I gave this to my aunt for christmas. It stopping working within the first 10 minutes of use. I'm infuriated. It simply failed, the vehicles electrical fuses were all intact. I bought the Metro vacuum because it touted "Made in USA". That labeling made me feel good.
