Is installing a programmable thermostat a DIY-type task, or do we need to get an electrician?
We’re somewhat handy around the house. My husband has installed a ceiling fan in the past… Is installing a programmable thermostat doable for the weekend handyman? Any specialized tools or knowledge required? We have a digital thermostat installed already, it’s just not programmable. By: Exiled MainerAbout the Author:
The best, cheapest flooring for old uneven floors
I am thinking of buying an old house, but I hate the ugly carpet in the living room. I really would prefer not to have carpet because I have a cat and carpet and hairballs just don’t mix. lol I’m pretty handy around the house for a girl, so I’m open to suggestions for a new floor – even off the wall, tree-hugger stuff. Thanks!

Add a little more DIY creativeness to my clothes
Just to make them more unique, not so boring. Anything I could add or do to them to make them look better?
haha. yeah, i like to patch my clothes sometimes, but that’s about it. I want to become more crafty, but it’s hard to to a lot of stuff and add more when I don’t have a sewing machine, well I do but it’s one from the 40s. Dx

How much to DIY a bathtub and shower?
We have a half bath that has plenty of room to add a bathtub/shower stall. It’s by the back door of the house, so I’m happy to go with an economy model. Can anyone guess how much this will cost me to install? We would do as much of the work ourselves as possible as my husband is handy with plumbing.
We live in Virginia. Thanks so much!!
