Look Who’s Playing “Tony”
 
What are the chances of FOUR (4) brilliant actors playing one same role in a film? Well, we better ask director Terry Gilliam, cause that’s basically what he did with his newset film “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus“.
The role of Tony, a mysterious outsider who joins the theatre troupe of Doctor Parnassus was supposedly intended for the late Heath Ledger, but when Ledger died halfway through the production, the role was recasted and it had Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law to portray “physically transformed versions” of the character.
 
Now how’s that for a role which doesn’t even have a family name huh!.
This simply makes the film more of a movie to watch this year. I’m sure you’re curious as to how it will turn out like I am. That’s FOUR.
3 Critical:
- Four - not one, not two, but FOUR big names. Beat that!
- Got To Be Tony - out of a thousand names, it’s just gotta be Tony.
- Big Budget? - how else can you get 4 brilliant actors in a film?
     
Pentax Optio P70 “Thin” Camera
 Yes it’s 2009 and Pentax will be introducing its latest Pentax Optio P70 “very thin” digital camera. And when I say it’s “very thin”, I really mean it in every sense of the word.
The Optio P70 is a 12MP (mega pixels) digital camera, with a 4x optical zoom (that’s around 28-112 mm), a 2.7 inch TFT LCD screen (that’s larger than most digital cameras by the way), an ISO sensitivity up to 6400, and has a 720P video mode at 15 fps. But the real highlight of this new camera will be it’s superb Face Recognition feature which can track up to (take note)… 32 faces in 0.03 seconds. And that’s defintely a WOW for me.
But were not in the “very thin” part just yet.
This camera unbelievably measures 3.8-inch x 2.1-inch x 0.8-inch (that’s thin right?) and weights 4.4oz only. It’s powered by a Li-io battery D-LI88 and supports SDHC, and SD memory card.
By the way, it will be available this February 2009 for around $199.95.

- iCam? - is it just me, or did they model this thing from an iPhone. The design pretty much looks like it’s iPhone inspired.
- So Thin - .8 is really thin for a camera. I wonder how durable it is.
- Handy Indeed - the size and thickness makes it really really handy indeed. Plus it looks classy for a camera.
     
The Girls of “Street Fighter: Legends of Chun Li”

Just one more month to go and were going to see one of the most awaited films this 2009. And I’m talking about none other than (another movie adaptation of the game) Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. But this time, the people won’t be waiting just to see another JCVD (Jean-Claude Van Damme) round house kick, but two beautiful and sexy girls namely Kristen Kreuk (played Lana Lang on Smallville) & Moon Bloodgod (Pathfinder, and will star on Terminator).
Don’t tell me this isn’t good enough reasons for you to watch.
Kristen Kreuk
Kristen Kreuk will be playing Chun Li, an undercover Interpol agent who joined a fighting tournament (Street Fighter) to make her way to way getting to M. Bison (the tournaments founder) to avenge the death of her family… and probably do a lot of kicking, while Moon Bloodgod plays Detective Maya Sunee, a new character added to the Street Fighter Universe, and is only seen in the movie (so don’t worry if you haven’t seen her in the game). By the way. Maya is a Bangkok Gangland Homicide who sexily drives a Ducati.
Now all we ahve to do is INSERT COIN and PRESS START.
3 Critical:
- Whoooh! - this ain’t a word, but I’ll say it anyway.
- Finally - the old adaptations of the games have been sub par on my opinion, and I’m really witing for a good Street Fighter movie to come. I guessthis will be the one.
- Moon Bloodgod - may just be another name, but it sounds more like a goddess to me. More movies please.
     
The “NEW” Brother Quattro 6000D Sewing Machine w/ LCD display
I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but almost everytime there’s a new gadget in town it’s usually for the boys. “Toys for The Boys” as what they always say it is, but in rare times like today, someone somewhere bothered to make a toy for the girls (or mothers specifically) in the like of the Quattro 6000D Sewing Machine.
Now this ones really2x cool, and this would definitely change every bit of your Granny’s, Mother’s. Sister’s, or even yourself’s sewing experience. And just to make it a bit more than just a sewing machine, this gadget’s got a 7-inch HD LCD display (like no other sewing machine has), an embedded runway lighting (like no other sewing machine has again), and a camera right next to the needle (to make sure you’re running on the right sewing track). Beat that!
Sewing will never be the same again.

- Finally - there’s something we can give our beloved mothers that will really rock.
- No Price - I have yet to find how much this thing costs, but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be a bit expensive.
- What Else - I wonder what this thing can do besides sewing and it’s main features. Play DVD’s? Play Music?… This would be cool.
     
Celebrities And Tablecloths
Here’s an interesting fact just for you all: No matter how big the celebrities are, there will still be a time when they will dig into their old tablecloths to make some sort of gown to wear.
Unbelievable? Check these photos.
Yes that’s FHM’s hottest girl of 2008 Scarlett Johansson and “describe all you ant, she’s still famous” Paris Hilton, and they’re both wearing… yes you’ve guessed it… TABLECLOTH’s.
Now is this good or is this bad?
Whatever it is, they’ve already done it… and somehow, someone will be doing what they did. Poor tables.
3 Critical:
- Looks Bad - specially for someone we used to see wearing sexy “almost none” clothes.
- Why? - is it for fashion, criticism, or attention? Or just a paair of extra tablecloths.
- A Lot Actually - come to think of it, there actually are a lot of celebrities wearing tablecloth’s nowadays. Even guys. So sad.
     
Who’s On The Covers - Angelina Jolie
The Germans certainly know how to start of the year (even if it haven’t started yet) by choosing one, if not , the hottest mom there is in Hollywoood today, Angelina Jolie.
Angelina Jolie will be gracing the covers of Germany’s Cosmopolitan magazine for January 2009, and this cover (above) really would give the Germans something to look forward to for the next year.
The magazine will be covering the story of how she finds time for her family, acting career and commitment as a UN ambassador. And Brad of course.
2009 would defintely be a good year for the Germans.

- Somebody Else - I really thought it was somebody else when I saw this cover in the internet.
- Photoshoped? - do we really need to ask this? Or is there anyone that beautiful to be exempted from being edited?
- Still Is - whatever Angelina Jolie is years ago, is still the same. Sexy, hot, seductive, and sexy. (Did I say sexy again?)
     
Kobe’s “NEW” Low-Cut Shoes

If you’ve seen the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat game last Friday, then you’ve probably noticed something new on Kobe Bryant. He’s still making he same points, still playing the same game, but let’s just say he feels lighter.
We got his new shoes to thank for that.
Nike’s new creation, and Kobe’s new signature shoes (or sneakers) weights just about 11.6 ounces (20 percent lighter than the average Nike basketball shoe), making it the lightest basketball shoe Nike has created, and Bryant is definitely convinced that the switch will make the most sense for his game.
The shoe is expected to hit U.S. stores
in February, with a $120 price tag.
It was actually Kobe’s idea, bringing a soccer-like shoes on the hardcourt, and with the help of Eric Avar (Nike’s performance footwear creative director), it was made possible with one goal: Create the lowest, lightest basketball shoe ever.
I think he’s planning on changing the way the people think about what a basketball shoe should be. That of course is referring to having low-cut’s and less ankle support.
In an interview, Bryant said: “I’m not worried about rolling an ankle. “If you come down on somebody’s foot,” he said, “you’re going to roll your ankle and there’s not a lot you can do about it.”
“It’s more about what I needed as an athlete, me, myself,” Bryant said. “When I play, how do I feel when I wear the shoe? When I wear high-tops, how did I feel? What would I like to see improve in the shoes? What would I like to see perform better? From that, in our meetings, I would just throw all this stuff to them and they would come back with the technology necessary.”
Now is this the answer to his Championship Dream? We’ll see.

- Good Point - when asked about the effects of this creation, Kobe said it will make himself a better player… and those who would wear too, so it pretty much levels the field on a higher note.
- Reinvention - now this is reinvention at it’s finest. If it works for Kobe, then I can see a transition from high-cut’s to low-cuts already.
