His music range from country folk to hard rock and this adaptability is his main asset which scored him CIFF award (best musical score –Raam) in 2006 and national awards too. He is the only south Indian composer, who recognized by Sony BMG to produce a Hindi/English album. It appears that composing assortment music is like a piece of cake for this chap.

Brief Story about Movie
Aegan is a forthcoming Tamil feature film which is currently being directed by Raju Sundaram, who with Aegan will direct his maiden film. Ajith Kumar acts in the lead role, whilst Nayantara, Navdeep, Suhasini Ratnam, Nassar and Jayaram also play roles in the film. The film, which has been under production since late 2007. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer. The film, produced by Ayngaran International, is set to be released in Sept 2008.

Aegan Audio Release Septemper 19
Ajith starrer Aegan’s release has been postponed to October 24th (three days before Diwali) to take advantage of the long weekend. Earlier, the producers (Ayngaran International) had decided to release it on September 19th.
The audio launch of Aegan is tentatively on September 27th. Music is by Yuvanshankar Raja, the flavour of youth.
Aegan is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster Main Hoon Na and marks the transformation of Raju Sundaram from dance choreographer to film director. The buzz is that Raju Sundaram’s brother, ace dance-choreographer-actor Prabhu Deva, has choreographed a song in this film, which will serve as its highlight. The grapevine says that Prabhu Deva will do a cameo in this song, but this information has not yet been confirmed by the Aegan’s sources.
Producers K. Karunamoorthy and C. Arunpandian have ensured that this film overtakes Main Hoon Na in terms of grandeur, stunts, and screenplay. Cameraman Arjun Jaanaa has excelled with the camerawork and has ensured that you get a feel of watching a Hollywood film.

Now, the makers have announced that the audio release of the movie will happen on the 5th of September. Trapped in a caravan For Aegan
Actor Sreeman, known for his roles in several movies including Panchathanthiram, Pammal K Sammandham and Sethu, had a harrowing time recently on the sets of Aegan.
The actor, who was shooting for the film at a place near Ennore, found himself locked in the restroom of a caravan parked on the premises of a factory.
The actor, who tried to come out of the restroom after using it couldn't do so as the latch broke and the door got stuck. His frantic cries for help couldn't be heard by the crew members as there was a generator that had been switched on nearby. However, luckily for him, one crew member, who noticed movement inside the caravan, found him locked and fetched help. The crew members had to break open the door to get the actor out but not before a good 40 minutes had passed.
Thirteen films turned down before Aegan
Aegan, the Ajith starrer being directed by Raju Sundaram is being chiseled out with utmost care. Cinematographer of this film, Arjun Jena, appears to be besotted by the hero Ajith. According to Arjun, he is yet to come across a gentleman like Ajith in the film industry. This established cameraman had apprenticed with P C Sreeram and with late Jeeva. He
has gained their appreciation and has worked in Kadir's Kaadal Virus. After this film, he has moved on to Bollywood and Tollywood where he has worked in many films.
While talking about Aegan, Arjun says, "I have refused 13 film offers just to work with Aegan and with Ajith. It has been my dream to work with stars like Ajith and I am very happy about it". In Aegan, he has used the latest technique of using master prime lens which is said to give a superb effect. Arjun has also directed short films and has won three national awards for the best short film.
Aegan shooting stalled
Actors always have interesting anecdotes to share about their shooting scedules. Sriman had one such experience during the shooting of Aegan. This unforgettable incident happened while the crew was shooting at Ennore. Sriman went into his trailer to take a break. But when he wanted to come out to join the shooting, he realized that he had been locked in! The trailer door was jammed and he could not open it, no matter how hard he tried. He could not even call someone to inform them of his plight as he had forgotten his cell phone. To add insult to injury, no one heard his cries for help; his voice was not audible outside the airconditioned trailer to the crew. Then a brainwave struck him; he started running inside the trailer, causing the trailer to start shaking. This caught the attention of the crew and he was finally out!
