Pretty cool journal that happened to be a number plate in its past life. Created by Haul, the pop culture recyclers who have a great line of products made from recycled material like well.. number plates, billboard vinyl and inner tubes.
Eat Off Me Plates
Eat Off Me, a set of sushi plates that look like a naked woman's body. Why designed that way? to resemble the controversial Japanese tradition called 'Nyotaimori' which is basically the practice of eating sushi off a naked woman's body.
The plates are beautifully designed, but at the same time a lot of people, myself included, find them to be as offensive as the tradition of Nyotaimori is.
Eat Off Me is designed by Japanese designer Hiroshi Tsunoda, who was recently interviewed by Steph Auteri from Modern Materialist. You can learn more about the designer and his work by reading the interview here.

3 Way Highlighter
It's amazing how a simple change can make a lot of difference. Japanese office supplies store Kokuyo has made adjustments to the tip of your regular highlighter to what they call a 3 way 'beetle tip' which allows you to highlight in 3 different ways by tilting your hands.
I don't know about you, but I find this to be freakin' amazing. I use highlighters a lot... and I end up coloring and drawing all over the page instead of highlighting important lines. This would either help me to actually highlight, or draw and color better. It's great either way. Now all I have to do is wait for Japan to spread the coolness worldwide.
