I've Met Jesus

Hot Leg released their new video, "I've Met Jesus" via MySpace and YouTube November 17. "I've Met Jesus" sounds much like Justin Hawkins' former band, The Darkness. The video, directed by Richard Mitchell, introduces you to the members of Hot Leg as they perform and travel through the human body. The Christmas single to accompany the video will be released December 15.

Take That's Circus .. The listing.

Take That is set to release their sixth studio album, Circus, on December 1. The official track list has been announced:

  • 1. The Garden
  • 2. Greatest Day
  • 3. Hello
  • 4. Said It All
  • 5. Julie
  • 6. The Circus
  • 7. How Did It Come To This
  • 8. Up All Night
  • 9. What Is Love
  • 10. You
  • 11. Hold Up A Light
  • 12. Here
The highly anticipated album had member Jason Orange apprehensive. At the MTV European Music Awards he said, "I wish I was more forthright and confident but I always approach things with reservations and I did with this album."

Orange does not regret rejoining with band members once again on this project. "I think I've made the right choice," he said.

The first single, Greatest Day is available for download on November 23 and the physical single will be available November 24.

Hot Leg Cancels Three Gigs

Hot Leg announced the remaining three dates of the Alter Bridge Tour have been canceled.

Through a MySpace message the band explained, "Justin (Hawkins) has been struggling with an upper respiratory and throat infection throughout the tour but now his voice has finally given up. It's nothing a few days of rest won't cure, and we'll hit back when the Extreme dates begin. Please accept our sincere apologies."

Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase, the tour resumes in Leeds on November 14.

Sunday at Devil Dirt

The unlikely pair Isobel Campbell (of Belle and Sebastian fame) and Mark Lanegan (ex-member of The Screaming Trees) are dropping their second album, "Sunday at Devil Dirt" on November 18 in the U.S.

"Sunday at Devil Dirt" is their follow-up duet album to 2006's "Ballad of Broken Seas." The debut release received much critical acclaim as well as a nomination for the Mercury Music Prize.

The unique duo met after Campbell was in search for a deep voice to accompany her on some tracks. Her boyfriend at the time suggest Lanegan... the rest is history.

The duet may seem entirely random, but The Independent says it best noting Campbell "is as bright as Lanegan is dark. Which is why they made such a perfect couple on their first collaboration."

Although the two have different images, Campbell assures they are very similar souls. To preview the album visit Isobel Campbell's MySpace.

Until the official release the video, directed by Richard Ashcroft himself, is available to view on The Sun's Web site.

Another joins the Christmas race

Adam Ficek, drummer of Babyshambles, announced his first solo single, "Horses" will be released digitally on December 8 and on a 7'' vinyl on December 15.

Ficek describes the song as, "Throw in some characters from my past, present and future and you're left with horses, a tale of Jack Frostical proportions."

The solo EP will be released under the name Roses, Kings, Castles. The single also includes the songs "Pulling Me Round" and "Everybody Loves."

A full LP will be available in 2009.

Finally fans have the option to pick up a CD containing a remix of "I'm Outta Time" by Dave Sardy and Twiggy Ramirez.

The video has already been released on Channel 4 and online. The song is one of five songs Liam Gallagher wrote for the latest release.

Blur Reunion is now a Possibility

After recent denials Damon Albarn told BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday, "It'sw very possible I'll go back to Blur. It really is very possible."

Albarn recently met with former Blur guitarist, Graham Coxon, for a friendly lunch. Coxon left Blur in 2002 due to personal and musical conflicts. Blur went on to release their seventh studio album, "Think Tank" in 2003 and then disbanded. Although the band never officially broke up, each member has moved on to various solo projects.

"The truth be known, Graham and I have been hanging out together a bit," Albarn said. "He's great, it's fantastic to get my old friend back. So it's good but I can't really say more than that."

Albarn is currently in the midst of the new Gorillaz album.

Hot Leg

Justin Hawkins, best known as the lead vocalist of The Darkness, is back.

With Hawkin's falsetto and the band's unique presence The Darkness took the United Kingdom- and world- by storm. In 2006 Hawkins disbanded from brother Dan and bassist Richie Edwards to enter rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.

After a month stint in rehab he is clean for almost two years and continues to make music. In 2007 he released a couple solo songs on his MySpace. It's his current venture however that is gaining attention.

Hawkins alongside Pete Rinaldi, Samuel SJ Stokes and Darby Todd formed Hot Leg. The band has released two songs via their MySpace and official Web site. "Trojan Guitar" is the first single and is described as "medieval epic."

The Hot Leg debut album was recorded in London in early 2008, the album is expected to drop in January 2009. The band is touring with Alter Bridge and Extreme throughout November in the U.K.

Hawkins has hinted the band may enter the race for the number one Christmas single with "I've Met Jesus."

Libertines' Poster Exhibition Opens Soon

Gary Loveridge has been collecting music posters for over 30 years. "I was
fortunate being a regular at Filthy Macnasty's when Pete [Doherty] was the barmen and The
Libertines took off," he said on Filthy McNasty's official MySpace. "When the Libertines ended I started collecting Babyshambles posters and still do to this day."

Loveridge is sharing his collection with the world starting November 13 at Filthy McNasty's. The rare collection showcases posters from both The Libertines and Doherty's latest band, Babyshambles.

The exhibition is at McNasty's because The Libertines played many intimate shows there in the band's early days. At the time of their origin, Doherty was a bartender at the pub.

The show opens on November 13 at 6 p.m. with live Libertines covers by Alex Gold of The Wutars. For more information visit Filthy McNasty's official MySpace.

A small line of shows for The Last Shadow Puppets

The Last Shadow Puppets- the side project of The Arctic Monkey's Alex Turner and The Rascals' Miles Kane- are scheduled to play three shows in the United States next week.

The band will make appearances in New York on October 29 and 30th hitting Late Night With Conana O'brien and The Grand Ballroom. The last show is November 3 in Los Angeles.

Their album, "Age of Understatement," hit number one in the UK. Although the band has since dissolved (the members returned to their bands for the time) Turner assures there is more Shadow Puppets music in the future.

He said, "It's the end of a journey for now anyway. We will definitely make a second Shadow Puppets album. It's difficult getting a timeframe sorted though."

FREE Muse!
Muse has made a live, rare MP3 available for download on their Web site. "Fury" was recorded at an intimate show at London's Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. The song was recorded during the "Absolution" era and was currently only available on Japanese versions of the album and as a b-side of the single "Sing for Absolution."

To download the free MP3 visit Muse's official Web site.
