Canada, typically a top 10 finisher in the United Nation's top 10 best places to live, is lagging in workers benefits. So says a study by Mc Gill University. The study uncovers the truth that Canada basically sucks when it comes to basic worker benefits.

Stephen Harper was up North flexing his muscles with the announcement that Canada will be getting a new polar class ice-breaker to be named after the much loved or much despised John "The Chief" Diefenbaker. In what looks to be more than pre election rhetoric, Harper proudly proclaimed "When it launches for the first time into the frigid Canadian waters, the Diefenbaker, as it is almost certain to be nicknamed, will be a crowning achievement for our country".

Ángel Valodia Matos, fighting for Cuba, attacked a referee after the ref disqualified Matos for taking too long on an injury T.O. He also chased another official and spit on the mat before being subdued and ushered off by security. Apparently, he, along with is coach will also be banned from future competition and his Olympic records will be erased.

Another summer games, another embarrassment for Canada. Seems we can't even qualify for the medal rounds. Adam Trupish got spanked in his first round boxing match. Adam was the only member of the Canadian boxing team!! Brent Hayden, a medal hopeful, didn't even qualify for the 100 metre freestyle swimming event and Canada has yet to go to the podium.

Bell finally axed the beaver duo and have unveiled a new brand.

Wtf, what a plain ass logo to go along with their lame services. You can change the look Bell but you can't change the way people feel about you. You can emphasize the ER in BettER, FastER, etc, but what about the CustomER, or sERvice? People don't want a rebranding, they want better service, and bell has been pissing too many people off to save their ass with a new look, its just silly.The only ER in Bell's future is the Emergency Room because Bell will soon be flat lining

A 26 year old man was shot and killed by Winnipeg police after he failed to comply to put his knife down. But first they tried tasering him, and when that failed, they resorted to shooting the suspect. Details are still forthcoming on this subject so not a lot has been released.

My thoughts? WTF....police shoot and kill for failure to comply, but sit around for hours and negotiate with a sick f**ker on a bus that decapitates and eats body parts from his victim? Why the hell didn't they shoot that sicko on the bus? Now I understand that when police tell you to do something, you should do it, else whatever happens next can be your own damn fault, but unless this guy actually lunged at or tried to attack the police, why was he shot? I guess I am just pissed that some mental asshat who killed an innocent young man will get to live out his days in a cushy jail cell or a mental institution for his grisly killing, while this man, who brandished a knife got wasted.
