I absolutely love female magazines.There are a few which I absolutely adore but you have to admit a few of these articles can be really pretentious if not silly! Don’t believe me! Than check out a few headlines like, “Using the Fat flush plan” or “Detoxification to make you lose weight” and lets not forget the ever popular “Eat all you want to lose weight.”
The message in all women mags reads like this if you lose a few pounds, get a new wardrobe , earn a few thousands per week, and cook like a dream I would get a dream husband and be really happy. Yeah right if wishes were horses, fat fools like me would ride the globe!
Let me be really frank people there was a time that I tried everything and frankly my darlings,I’ve been there done that and It patently didn’t work as I’m still fat, single and unhappy!
Check out recent photos of Victoria Beckham, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and now Kate Bosworth all looking painfully gaunt and week kneed. It’s not really fair is it! Some of these prominent personalities have even resorted to painful and potentially life threatening surgeries to look thin. But is it really worth it?

If losing weight is so difficult how come post -pregnancy celebrity moms get to lose weight so fast. Its not fair;I got pregnant and had my post pregnancy fat for almost two years and I’ still struggling to keep it off.
But just look at Catherine Zeta Jones. Twice pregnant and she lost her baby weight in almost two months! Is that good for the body or even remotely healthy?In that context you’ve got to admire Brittany Spears who dared to wobble that post pregnancy body at The MTV awards in the skimpiest bikini set I’ve ever seen. But to be frank its a body which carried two babies to term with natural deliveries, so to hell with the world and its idiotic opinions of womanly beauty.
Actress model Milla Jovovich, gained up to 70 pounds for the birth of her daughter Ever Gabo. But over the next three to four weeks she got back to her previous bikini-model body by doing cardio, strength as well as core training for 25 to 45 minutes a day, five days a week. So if you are like me and you’re post pregnancy weight is just not coming off then here are a few tips from celebrity moms to help you out.
- Brest feeding is good for you to lose the extra weight you gained during pregnancy really burns the calories and you lose more weight rather than using formula.
- Celebrity moms like Salma Hayek and Nicole Richie are already in the advantage as they already are pretty fit .They continue their exercise regimen but at a slower pace during their pregnancy.But you might have to join a pregnancy exercise like me to keep the pregnancy weight gain in control as well as to burn off post pregnancy weight.
- Try to start a good weight control regime before getting pregnant as you will find it better to conceive as well as take off the weight after pregnancy.

Why can’ t people just make stronger chairs?
People, will do any thing to lose weight and thats a fact! Why talk about people I’ll do anything to lose weight! But here are a few really weird inventions found over time to get your fat to melt away. Mercifully most of these really dangerous to ridiculous gadgets have been phased out of the market. Thank god for small mercies! But take a gander anyway!
The Dumbbell Phone
Check out this totally useless phone invention called as the Chindogu or the dumbbell attachment for the telephone! While you are talking on the phone build up your biceps with this relatively heavy telephone . You’ll like a fool but you will develop terrific triceps and biceps any one who even dreams of laughing at you!
The Butane Powered Pogo Stick
Runs on a really strong mixture of butane . You just pump the engine and then turn it on then wait around for the ambulance to arrive and pick up the pieces of your broken body!
Not a good idea!

This really blows my mind! A surfing machine for those people who need to lose weight but don’t stay near the ocean. Get your body building at home itself!
Healthy foods which aren’t healthy

Whenever I decide to lose a few pounds(which is almost every month), I start cutting down a few favorite gunky foods and then switch to the healthy foods everyone likes to talk about like organics or even the grass they like to call salads.
But here’s a shocker according to new research these so-called healthy foods are not really healthy for you!
Let’s just see what I do on a typical “health food”jag. for example, I started off with a bowl of muesli for breakfast,then snacked on a tuna sandwich at lunch (fish makes you smart and lean), had a helping of non-fat pretzels around fourish (feel peckish when the boss is not around you see) and dinner was a veg pizza with olive oil!
I think I hit all the major food groups without going over calorie right? Wrong wrong wrong! Here’s the actual break down of what I ate.
Muesli was of the commercial variety and was loaded with sweetness as wells artificial flavorings, the tuna was packed with enough butter and mayo to negate all the lovely benefits of the omega 3fatty acids. The pretzels had sugar and carbs with no benefits at all in them while the veg pizza was loaded with cheese and hidden oils. All in all I ate more on the days I was “dieting “rather than normal days!!!!! Among other healthy food which get you on the sneak to put on a few pounds are
- Organic foods which do not contain pesticides and preservatives but do contain just the same amount of calories. Thats a real zinger right! I was under the impression that they contain a lesser amount of calories!
- Sushi great if made traditionally but not the versions which incorporate mayo and salt and butter.
The point being you have to pay attention to what you eat irrespective of what the blurbs say.
