Some Ideas for my Assignment
Hi.
For an assignment I have to write a report for management of a fictitious company:
That company has recently expanded and now employs over 100 employee. For them the growth has meant a lot of change and now they complain that they no longer know what is going on and start asking for union representation.
Management is concerned about handling conflict and allowing employees to express their views.
My report should identify Employment Relationship priority areas and make suggestions for action.
Do you think it would be a good idea to introduce team briefings as a form of direct involvement to provide employee with information (downward-communication) and maybe in addition to that introduce a joint consultative committee as a form of indirect participation instead of union recognition???
Is that a good idea for a company with 100 employee?
What do you think about this, what would you recommend without further information about the company/ the employee/ their complaints?
