Description: The latest news from Matt Code and his new rock album entitled "An Alarming Rise". Contents: Potential July Release for An Alarming Rise Uri Djemal and I believe the album will be completed (as in mixed and mastered) by mid June. My plan is to release it to MattCode.com while the songs are distributed to iTunes and other online outlets. The artwork and CD will be pressed as soon as the mastered version is complete. The Album: "An Alarming Rise" is the first album of three that has conceptual elements with a story written around it. It contains a number of messages of the changing world. However, this is not like the third album (currently being written) that will tell a story from the first chord to the last. An Alarming Rise is an album that merely describes what is to come. Each song will soon have Read more... March News: Inching Closer to the Finish This is the first news release since Fog of War has been made public. I am pleased with the single version of the song, but I look forward to releasing the album version soon. The album has been met with many delays. My health was very poor from the end of December to the middle of February. However, once I felt better I have been knocking out the vocals on the remaining songs at a rapid pace. There will not be an exact date of the release, but I promise that the release is getting closer. In the mean time a new version of the website has been opened up to the public. Matt Code to release first song After months of recording An Alarming Rise, the second song of the eleven song rock album will be release after Thanksgiving weekend. “Fog of War” is going to be re-mastered in the upcoming days to be released as a single. The hours for the studio have been extended to put the finishing touches on the remaining ten songs. I am very pleased with the progress of this album. However, to make sure it is ready for the public, I have to take steps to ensure its high quality. This means that delays in its release has to take place. In the mean time over the next couple of weeks, I will be taking pictures for the album cover. I have hired Wilhelm Scholz to be the photographer for this project. Wilhelm has come up with a great idea for Read more... Studio Update: Guitar Tracking is Finished. It has been quite an experience and I am closing in on the final stages of the album. I am very pleased with everything that has been accomplished in such a short period of time. All that remains at this point is the vocal tracking. I will be taking a month off of recording to master the vocal aspects of the songs and then I go back into the studio to track two songs a day. Uri Djemal is starting to mix the elements together and add the effects to make this album sound beautiful. I will be releasing this as soon as I can. There have been delays, but the delays have only made the album stronger. Studio Notes: Guitar Tracking to Begin this Weekend The rhythm section is now complete. Everything sounds great; I’m very please so far. There are a few tweaks here and there that need to happen, but nothing that should delay this album for a November release. The Guitars will be tracked this weekend. Uri and I will be using a Classic Gretsch, Fender ‘79, and a custom Les Paul for these sessions. Combined with a Vox AC30, Fender Deluxe, and a few other vintage amps; the sounds will be fantastic. Read more... Studio Update: A weekend of tracking Last night at 2:30 AM, Hari put down the final drum track for my 11 song album. The recording took three days and went extremely well. With just a few adjustments remaining, I will be entering the studio for live tracking with the rest of the band this weekend.
