Jason Castro Finally Goes Home
American Idol's Jason Castro and Syesha Marcado were in the bottom 2 last night. Ryan said Syesha's name and she was really surprised when he said that she was in the final 3. Jason was finally sent home. His first song Tuesday night sounded Karaoke. He forgot the words in the second one. I'm glad Syesha made it to next week. She has been singing better every week. I still think that both David's will be in the finale.
American Idol's Brooke White Sent Home in Tears
American Idol's Brooke White was sent home this week. She was really upset about it and was crying. I felt so bad for her. Brooke and Syesha were in the bottom 2 this week. I think that Jason should have been there instead of Syesha. There are only 4 finalists left: David Archuleta, David Cook, Syesha Marcado, and Jason Castro. Next week is "Rock and Roll" week.
Another Shocker! American Idol's Carly Smithson Sent Home
American Idol's Carly Smithson was sent home last night. She was in the bottom 2 with Syesha Marcado. Everyone thought that Brooke or Jason would be leaving. So this was a real shocker. Carly is really talented and has a powerful voice. She was happy with what she had accomplished while she had been on American Idol and didn't seem to mind that she was voted off. I hope she gets a record deal. There are only 5 finalists left: David Archuleta, David Cook, Brooke White, Syesha Marcado, and Jason Castro.
American Idol's Kristy Lee Cook Sent Home
Finally, America gets it right and sends Kristy Lee Cook home. She should have left weeks ago. She was in the bottom 3 with Brooke White and Syesha Marcado. Ryan did the elimination different this week. He called out everybody one at a time and then divided them into groups. I felt so sorry for David A.. He was the last one backstage and Ryan went to the commercial break. He was really nervous by the time he was called onstage. Ryan told David A. that he was safe and to go stand by the group that was also safe. He decided to just sit down in the middle of the floor. Ryan told him that he needed to scoot over to the right side to be with the safe group. David C. and Jason decided to go sit down beside David A. Carly was wearing a skirt so she didn't sit down in the floor. Everybody stood up and looked happy. It was really funny!
American Idol's Michael Johns Sent Home Early
The first shocker in American Idol's Season 7 was last night. Ryan Seacrest announced that Michael Johns will be going home. Everyone including myself was shocked. Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado had joined Michael in the bottom 3. It was the first time he had been there. Carly just knew that she was leaving. She started crying when they announced his name. Michael was stunned as well. I thought that Kristy Cook, Carly Smithson, and Jason Castro should have been in the bottom 3 this week. America got it all wrong this time. I hope Michael Johns gets a record deal like Chris Daughtry. Next week everyone will be singing Mariah Carey songs.
American Idol's Ramiele Sent Home in Tears
Ramiele Malubay, Brooke White, and Kristy Lee Cook were in the bottom 3 last night. Kristy knew that she was going to be there again so she already had made a sign with her name on it to put in her seat. I had expected Ramiele and Brooke to join her also. Ramiele started crying when her name was announced. I felt so bad for her. Her performances have not been her best the past 2 or 3 weeks. She does have a powerful singing voice though. Ramiele was the 4th Top 12 finalist sent home in Season 7 American Idol. I knew that David Archuleta was going to be safe. He sang really well Tuesday night.
Chikezie Goes Home on American Idol
Chikezie Eze, Syesha Marcado, and Jason Castro were in the bottom three in Season 7 American Idol last night. Jason was really relieved when he was declared safe. Syesha was surprised that she was safe. Chikezie didn't do as well this week as he had done the past two. It was still too early for him to go. He has a lot of talent. David Archuleta sang a song that a lot of people haven't heard of before. He was criticized by the judges on his song choice. David stuck to his guns and told them why he chose it. Go David!
David Archuleta Sings Great on Beatle's Night
David sang, "The Long and Winding Road" by the Beatles on March 18. He absolutely blew everybody away. I think that it was one of his best performances. He forgot a few of the words last week. He came back this week stronger than ever. My family is rooting for you David to be the next American Idol. We can't wait until next week.
Amanda Overmyer Sent Home Last Night
Amanda Overmyer was the 2nd Top 12 finalist voted off in Season 7 American Idol. Amanda was in the bottom three with Carly Smithson and Kristy Lee Cook. I really like Amanda. She sounds like a Rocker-style Janis Joplin and her moves on stage reminds me of Tina Turner. This week again, I thought that Kristy should have been voted off. This won't be the last time that we see Amanda. I definitely think that some record label will pick her up. They would be crazy not to.
American Idol's David Hernandez Sent Home First
Last night, David Hernandez, was the first Top 12 finalist voted off in Season 7 American Idol. He was in the bottom three with Syesha Marcado and Kristy Lee Cook. Syesha was declared safe which left David H. and Kristy. I thought that Kristy would have been voted off first. She really sounded terrible Tuesday night. But, I'm not surprised with David H. having the Stripper Scandal that he was the first to be eliminated. David H. seemed to be thrown totally off guard when Ryan announced that he would be going home. I can hardly wait until next week. American Idol is so exciting this year.

I'm really exciting about starting this blog. My family loves American Idol and has watched all the seasons except for the 1st. Season 7 is full of many talented singers. David Archuleta is my pick to be the winner. It's hard to believe that he is only 17 years old. He already sounds like a veteran singer. His voice full of emotion and very moving, can bring you to tears. I will post pictures, videos, statistics, and anything else that might be of interest to the rest of the David Archuleta fans.
