A Real Fact: 1.6 terabytes data storage disc has been innovated
The Researchers from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne have innovated a “five-dimensional optical recording technique” – NATURE new type of disc that can store thosands times more than ordinary one. The world famous research journal “NATURE” states that it could take up to 10 years before it goes on sale. Yes, it is true that this one can store theoretical 1.6 terabytes of data. The ultra-DVD is the same size and thickness as a conventional disc.
Technically, “Most DVDs have two layers of information – one on top of the other. The laser reads the first layer before adjusting its focus and reading the second… The new disc stores information using two extra ‘dimensions’ – the colour of light and the direction, or polarisation, of light waves.” According to Mail Online.
“We were able to show how nano-structured material can be incorporated on to a disc to increase data capacity without increasing the size of the disc,” said Min Gu, professor whose findings appear in the journal NATURE
People currently use portable HDD to store a huge amount of data, which will be surely replaced by these ultra DVD’s. But you will need another reading device to read these discs.

· Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (Wisconsin)
· White River Valley Electric Cooperative (Missouri)
· Toronto Hydro–Electric System Limited (Canada)
· Glasgow EPB (Kentucky)
In the iGoogle platform, users can create a customized page with web based application. It has been designed in such a way that users can view the real time view of electricity consumption. According to Google Power Meter “provide little detail on consumption or how to save energy”

Check the Import button in Gmail
The No 1 search engine Google, after their proud launch of their mail service Gmail, have constantly advancing in various means. Yesterday I found news that ‘Gmail Adds Email Import’, that exactly means it can easily import message and contacts from your existing web mail service.
How to Get it??
Check your Setting Function- it has been changed, Specifically “Accounts” to “Accounts and Import.” file up the relevant details and wait… your message and email contacts will be imported to your Google Mail account. This importation technology – which is powered by TrueSwitch from Esaya.
That’s really cool Google. I think it was needed. Google mentioned that- “currently available to only a small subset of Gmail users”, and it will surely create an area of competition between the competitors. What do you think? Will this functionality help Google to get masses of new email creator?
