Keeping Yourself Together At The End Of Your Round
Picture it. You’ve got your round going and you’re on for the best score that you’ve ever had and you don’t want to throw it away at the end of the round because of a silly mistake. Having a bogey-bogey finish or a couple of doubles can really dampen your confidence and set a lingering thought in the back of your mind for the next round. A really important one is the fact that if you’re in a competition, you don’t want to throw it away!

Developing yourself as a golfer involves learning how to deal with nerves towards the end of a round and also having your golf game perform when you need it to, is essential to keeping your score low.
So let’s take a look at what you can focus on to stop your round falling apart!
- Think of your favourite golfer and how they perform right till the last putt rolls in, it gives you inspiration and helps you strive to win.
- Take your time over every shot and make sure you stick to it, rushing right at the end can force errors that you really don’t need!
- Think positive thoughts and clear your mind before you make the swing. Having all sorts in your mind will only lead to you having doubts.
- Think about your practice sessions and how you do it every single time you play the hole yourself. You know you can do it so make the swing!
Try these tips next time you’re about to finish the round!

Sport Sunglasses Are The New Trend In Golf Fashion
If you’ve watched even one of the PGA tournaments on television this year you’ve noticed a rising trend of golfers wearing sport sunglasses while they’re out on the course. There are several reasons for this increase in eyewear that both pros and amateurs alike should consider for themselves.
I’m sure one of the main reasons professional golfers are wearing sunglasses so often now, aside from health and game improvements I’ll discuss in a minute, are for endorsement deals. There are tons of designer sunglasses companies out there that would love to have the visibility and marketing that comes with having a professional golfer wearing their glasses.
Of course, weekend hackers aren’t in any position to land major endorsement deals. There are two other good reasons to wear sunglasses on the course though: improving your ball striking and keeping your eyes healthy.
Both of those points revolve around the obvious idea of keeping the sun out of your eyes. Wearing sunglasses helps you keep your eye on the ball easier both when you are swinging and afterwards as you try and track the flight path of the golf ball. There’s nothing more frustrating than having to spend lots of time trying to find your ball out on a hole because you didn’t see where it landed thanks to the sun’s glare in your eyes.
And, obviously, keeping the sun out of your eyes is also a great way to keep your vision safe as well. Constant sunlight is not healthy for anyone and it is especially important for golfer’s to keep their eyes protected because they spend so much time out in the sun’s rays.

Is Tiger’s Course In Dubai Causing Excitement and Problems?
The completion of the spectacular greens of Els Club in the sports city of Dubai certainly has caused some excitement among the world of golfers.
So how could something so exciting be causing any problems?
Dubai’s popular golf course and academy that opened in 2002 is foreseeing trouble in being able to compete with the fabulous new look of the Els Club and other new courses that are expected to be opening soon. To hold their spot with the competition, the Montgomerie’s fading 18 hole course has started an overhaul that will bring a much nicer look for the popular older course.
9 of the holes are expecting to be completed by September, and the remaining 9 holes are set to have their new look finished in the following year. Having constant problems with the turf wilting horribly in the areas intense heat has prompted the need for a new look.
Such a huge project will undoubtedly cause a rift among existing members of the course. Some of these members have already voiced a opinion of thinking they should receive compensation because players will end up losing half of what they have already paid for.

Multi-Million Dollar Expansion Of USGA Museum Now Open
Many individuals whose life revolves around the world of golf have probably already started their vacation and traveling plans. They are expected to want to be first in line to view the extreme changes that have increased the size of the USGA Museum to double it’s original size.
What about individuals whose life is not enclosed around the golf world? Rand Jerris, the director of the USGA Museum has voiced concerns about this very question. Apparently he has a few concerns on if other individuals outside of the golfing arena will even know where they are located at, and that they even exist.
With the recent changes to the museum, the public will get a better idea on some of the important history of golf and learn what the game is all about
As many of the renovations were being made to the museum, many of its popular exhibits were taken on the road to a lot of the USGA events. It is without question the exhibits were enjoyed by many who had the chance to view them.
Will the USGA Museum become what is known as the Cooperstown of golf, like Jerris would like it to be?

Sporting a putting range for the public, located in the center of the Cambodian Senate’s grounds, Korea is fast becoming known for their true love of the sport of golf.
Of course the golf course will not only hold a lot of fun entertainment for the Cambodians, the ever-flowing and ever-increasing amount in green, of the tourist dollar is obviously a very large reason for the elaborate plans of the golf boom that is arising.
Already having previously designed 300 golf courses, Arnold Palmer and his design company are obviously in tune with the demands being placed on it for adding the thrills of elite golfing communities to many other areas around the world.

The Future Of Golf In The Olympics
There are many who think that adding the sport of golf to the existing Olympic games would be a fantastic idea. Some think that this is a definite possibility, however, it is not something that will happen in the next couple of years. The year 2016 to be exact would be the earliest that golf would even be a possibility, to be added to the Olympic games.
Golf is such a widely recognized and popular sport. So why has it been since the year 1904 since it played an important part like that of being included in the Olympics? Part of the problem could perhaps be that seven years before the target games arrive, is when it has to be voted in.
We may have an answer to this hopeful question by next year when IOC will assemble in Denmark, when a host city will be chosen for Summer Games.
Some fear that since golf is sitting on a ballot right next to baseball and softball, that it is an unlikely call that it will be added. All three of these games were rejected, and both baseball and softball were taken off the program for the 2012 Olympics in London.

Tiger Wins U.S. Open On One Leg
I’m sure most of you have heard the news already but it was announced today that Tiger is shutting down for the rest of the 2008 season.
His reason? Oh, just a torn ACL and fractured tibia.
Yup, that’s right. Tiger Woods played 91 holes to win the U.S. Open with a broken leg and busted knee. There was a lot of talk over the weekend about how incredible Rocco Mediate was in keeping up with Tiger. And that’s true but those sentiments seem a bit hollow now with today’s news.
So now we have to trudge through the rest of the year watching guys like Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia struggle to set themselves apart and challenge Tiger as the best in the game. Good luck to them, I say.
The legend continues to grow for this guy who is easily on pace to go down as the best golfer in history. This weekend’s performance was just incredible.
