Fishing for Mako Sharks
This time of year off the coast of Louisiana is a great time to catch the very dangerous Mako shark. Mako’s are amazing fish and if one is lucky to catch one they should be proud. These fish put on a show with there jumping ability and power. Tuna Time Charters caught a nice one this past weekend 3-1-08. Enjoy the Picture.

New state record Marbled Grouper and Potential world Record
New state record marbled grouper caught off of Louisiana. This is a neat fish that is rarely caught by recreational fisherman. These fish are mostly caught by commercial fisherman. This was Tuna TimeCharters first marbled grouper and what a big fish for its species. This fish is potentially the new world record depending on IGFA line test. Enjoy the photo and make sure to check out www.tunatimecharters.com for more great pictures.

Three Aggies and a Lumberjack tackle and conquer a giant alligator that is 60” around the jaws. The alligator measures 13’ 10.5. What a beast that can take down just about anything it wants, so be careful before you go into water.

Scary!! photo of what lurks in the woods
Here is a photo of a cougar killed in steeleville, mo. the guy who shot it is 6 foot tall and weighs about 220 lbs. he was in a deer stand and saw the cat pass him downwind. he then saw it pass him upwind. When the cat passed him again (closer this time) downwind, he knew that it was hunting him?so, boom.

After viewing photo!!! Do you still feel safe in the woods.
Great White caught off of GALVESTON , TX
While the ocean vessel ‘Dawn Raider’ was commercial fishing shrimp, this Great White was hooked in the mouth but only resisted slightly for 15 minutes
before it came up alongside the boat to have a look; long enough for one of the crew members to slip a rope a round it’s tail !!! ‘And that’s when things heated up!!
.. The Shark took off towing the 42 foot fishing boat backwards through the water at about 7 Knots. Just like in JAWS, the boat was taking on water over the stern and the crew watched in horror as the shark would actually jump completely out of the water at times. This went on for an hour before the shark finally drowned. She weighed in at 1035 LBS. It is suspected she followed a weak El Nino current into local waters in search of food. Although mid 60 degree water is considered ideal for these sharks, the larger ones can tolerate water in the low 50s.

Cold!! or Hot, Raining!!! or Sun Shinning. We go fishing in Louisiana
It was Cold and Raining on 1-27-08 in South Louisiana, but that did not stop Tuna Time Charters. We had some hard core guys that insisted that they go and catch some fish. Here at Tuna Time Charters we do not back down from a challenge. Due to the awsome ride of out 32′ TwinVee Catamaran we were able to get the customers out to the fishing grounds and back safely. Enjoy the photo from out trip on 1-27-08.
