Co7 Tshirts

Co7 is a new design driven apparel label working with a collective of riders, artists, designers and musicians.
Co7 believes in promoting the work of young visionaries who are pushing the boundaries; whether it being in their sport, art or simply a new way of thinking. With its roots in Graphic design, music and boardsports, Co7 is at home on the shelves of boutiques and galleries as it is on those of your local surf and skate shop. Because Co7 is always on the look out, searching for the latest in design we are producing some of the most unique and best-designed T-shirts to the market.

Each T-shirt is one of a limited edition print run of only 500. Co7 feel it is our duty to do what we can to look after our Planet. Where as the typical cotton t-shirt uses about 150 grams of acutely toxic pesticides and insecticides; that’s the size of a cup of sugar. Co7’s uses none. We are proud of the fact that we only use quality organic garments from fair trade Indian cotton in all our production. In a time where most people are far more concerned with the design of their garments that the brand name on the front of it. Co7 produces unique T-shirts designed by some of the most exciting and innovative artists ranging from the established to the next big thing.
The tees are looking amazing, and really soft quality fabric, certainly a brand to keep a very close eye on for new developments in the future - Check the shirts and more at the site

Turtlehead Tshirts
Turtlehead are a collective based in Ireland with one eye on the establishment, another on the subversive and another on stuff we like. Their goal is not to bring down corporations or presidents, it’s to show that they care. They are not about saving rain-forests or puppies, but if they can help we will.
Their designs are part social commentary, part public art, part rant, part up theirs and part down with this sort of thing. Everything is limited to 500 pieces and all their t-shirts are printed in Ireland on ethically made and environmentally friendly 100% cotton tshirts.

Contributing artists include: David Shrigley, Will St Leger, Chris Judge, Dave Comiskey, Keith Walsh, Chris Haughton, Laurina Paperina, Adam Cruickshank, Frankenstyles, Marc Johns

Paste Tshirts from Brooklyn, NYC

Paste, Jason Laurits’s graphic t-shirt line, associates itself not only with indie fashion, but with art, culture, and humor. Paste uses both silkscreen and foil on enzyme-washed tees with the perfect vintage cut and feel. All t-shirts are made in the USA and hand-printed in Brooklyn, New York.
A bit about the history of Jason and the brand:
While pursuing a career in music in his early 20s, Jason Laurits taught himself how to silkscreen for posters and t-shirts to promote his shows around NYC. His music, a mixture of rock and electronica, eventually took him to London where, to help fund his recordings, he used silkscreen to create one-of-a-kind t-shirts and successfully sold them at indie fashion markets.
Eventually deciding to take a break from music, Laurits returned to NYC and attended the new school for writing, During this time he continued to sell his silkscreened tees, slowly growing a fan base. By the time he finished school the now-name line, plaster, was doing well enough for Laurits to put all his energy into developing it further. Soon, Plaster unfolded into a full contemporary men’s line.

As the focus for Plaster began to stray away from silkscreens altogether, Laurits started a new line, Paste, devoted to graphic tees. With the indie, abstract, cooler-than-thou tshirt market becoming oversaturated, Laurits decided Paste would take itself less seriously, be a little more fun(nier), and priced at a more moderate level for artistic tees.

Currently, both Plaster and Paste have made it into progressive boutiques across the USA, as well as Japan, with the European market on the horizon.

Bad Brains x Supreme

Bad Brains is an American Hardcore punk band formed in Washington, D.C. in 1977. Highly regarded as being among the pioneers of hardcore punk, though Bad Brains themselves have objected to the term “hardcore” to describe their music.
Bad Brains has had a major influence on skate culture, therefore it was only natural for Supreme to join the band to produce a small capsule collection. Supreme have released a Vans Sk-8 HI in three colorways, harrington jacket, and two t-shirts.
Big thanks to Marcus for letting me take the shot!

Premium Label x BKRW Tee

For the second collaboration item for BKRW’s 1st anniversary, BKRW has teamed up with Premium Label to create this tee. The tee is inspired by the hip hop artist, Kanye West, as well as the high profile model, Kate Moss. This combination of these two icons has created an interesting graphic. Three colors will be available each limited to 50 pieces. Available now at the BKRW shop.

Orgasmic from Insitubes @ Sixpack.fr

Headed up to Pure Groove last night for the Institubes instore, which was quite frankly, disappointing. Arrived and they were leaving - basically there were more of them than the general public - why - who knows -but it seems that no one either heard about it or could be bothered to head up to Archway. I mean, Archway, it’s not great for much apart from possibly a suicide destination off the bridge going over the A1…
Anyway, whilst there, they were offering up some nice Institubes tees and seeing as I was saving money on beer, figured I’d shell out on one. Available from Sixpack France

This is UCON

Jochen from UCON emailed me the other day with details of the company and a link to their online shop/portfolio. UCON are based in Berlin and hitting all the right switches when it comes to creating cutting edge, clean living street wear. These guys are really doing the business! From slick denim to new era hats and clean simple design tshirts - they’re keeping it to the highest level! Great work guys. Check out the shop here
And check out the website here
This is UCON.
It is far more than purely an interest, or passion. Since day one we have relentlessly pursued our dream to become one of the most innovative clothing brands on the market, and we have created our own unique brand, which we invite you to become a part of. Our goal is not to make interesting clothing, it’s to make clothing interesting. We cut no corners, spare no expense, and are relentless in making sure we bring the absolute best we can to the world. The true test of a great company is not sales, not fame, but the test of time. We’ll be here forever.
Philosophy:
Dedication.
It’s what separates us from the others. The leaders from the followers.
It consists of the time, effort and love that we put into every one of our garments.
From the designs, to the cuts, to the stitching, we put everything we can into our clothing so you will be proud to put on four letters: UCON

Urban CONquest.
It’s not a battle, war, or altercation. It’s about truly coming together with the objects, obstacles and buildings that surround us. It’s simply a matter of evolving, taking something and making it our own. Skating is creativity in an increasingly bland, dull and dumbed-down world. Conquer the limitations that get in your way and make something unique. UCON.
Garment:
Give me your blood, sweat and tears. I’ve got your back, as well as your front. Try your best, fall down, then try again. Take your time, I’ve got all day. Throw me, rip me, neglect me. Just don’t forget me. A good garment is hard to find.
Impression:
Liars, cheats, and crooks. They are everywhere, telling you one thing while they mean another. Whether they are companies, or people, the fact is everything and everybody wants something from you. UCON does too, we want you to represent and wear our garments. You deserve to wear clothes from a company that respects you and wants you to look good.
Look beyond the label. Respect doesn’t come on a logo.
My favourite garment:
Isn’t it the little things in life that make it worth living? Little things that bring a smile on your face when you think about them? Little things like a piece of clothing. But not just a piece. It’s more. It’s your favourite piece. It carries your smell, the blood from your hard learned tricks, the perfume of your girlfriend…everything. It’s a part of you. You even wear it the day after a hard party night although it smells like beer. Something you associate so many things with. Like a best friend or a simple melody. Something you want to wear all day and all night long. All the time. Everywhere.
