We have started a new newsline, this one will stay for reference however the new one can be found via the Royal Caribbean Cruise News page.

Updated Cruise Search and Cruise Holidays on Cruisegle
Cruisegle the Cruise Search | Cruise Holidays website has been updated to enable both searches for cruises from the UK and the US. We are pleased to still have a link on their site and feel it is a growing cruise resource and more updates are expected over the next few days.

Drabdesign Buy Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas
As part of the Cruises network, Drabdesign has purchased two new domain names, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, the names given to the two new Royal Caribbean cruise ships due in service in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

These domains are currently parked with the cheap hosting company Hostasitehere, where they were purchased at a cost of £3.54, which is pretty good value for dot Com's. They will be updated soon when more details are available about the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean Website Updated
We hope you like the re-design of this Royal Caribbean site, we have added cruise search boxes for the members of the UK readers to search for cruises via Cruise VIP. We have left two US affiliate sites for readers from over the pond!

Royal Caribbean name Genesis Project Ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas
Royal Caribbean have announced the names of the Genesis Project ships; the Oasis of the Seas will be launched in the fall of 2009 while her sister ship the Allure of the Seas will be launched in 2010. The names came as a result of polling for names, supplied by members of the general public.

We have joined up with Cruise VIP
We are pleased to announce we have joined up with Cruise Holidays specialists Cruise VIP and will soon only promote them from within this website. Cruises are a growing industry and Cruise VIP are a new fresh company with a growing reputation.

Ft Lauderdale gets Independence
Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas, due in service in spring 2008 and currently under construction at Aker Yards in Turku, Finland will, according to a Royal Caribbean statement, reposition to Ft. Lauderdale for Caribbean voyages, becoming the largest ship ever to call the Florida port home.
Her repositioning cruise will be a 13 night transatlantic crossing departing November 6, 2008. Her itinerary will then be a rotating series of six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Eastern Caribbean cruises from Ft. Lauderdale throughout the winter of 2008 and spring of 2009.

At 154,407-ton, and able to carry some 3,634-passengers, the Independence of the Seas joins her sister ships, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas as the largest cruise ships in the world.

Royal Caribbean introduce Fuel Supplements
Royal Caribbean have introduced Fuel Supplements as a result of rising fuel costs. The supplement will be $5 per person, per day, applicable for the first two guests in a stateroom, and will not exceed $70 per person, per sailing. The surcharge is effective on all new or existing North American bookings on all Royal Caribbean, Celebrity or Azamara ships that sail after February 1, 2008.

Guests who have already paid for their cruise in full are not be required to pay the fee.

Independence of the Seas gets hot!
Royal Caribbean has announced that Independence of the Seas will have heated outdoor pools, a first for the cruise line. This is as a result of concerns for the UK climate; she is due to cruise for 6 months of the year out of Southampton. P&O are the only other cruise line that offers a full season of ex UK cruising with heated outdoor pools.
