Kobe Bryant jumps over an Aston Martin
This guy has some serious, reflexes, hops, and hang-time. He reminds me of when I was still very much Athletic and used to jump clean over the hoods of cars on my block for fun. I might do a video for the fun of it one day again. Excellent marketing Kobe. Nike Hyperdunk, I like how they look too.

De La Soul- Saturdays
One of my favorite De La Soul songs, and all time Hip Hop-Rap classics. This should rock in your mp3 playlist, especially on Saturdays.

Takashi Murakami exhibit in Brooklyn
World renowned 45 year old Japanese Artist Takashi Murakami has a retrospect exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum in Brooklyn, New York. Some of his Oeuvre will be here for the public to see from April 5 to July 13 of this year. His earlier works from 1992 to 2000 have also been featured at other Museum's in the past. I actually plan on seeing this exhibit. I will take some pictures when I go, and post them on here. I fell in love with art since my preschool days. I enjoy hand drawing and occasionally putting concepts together in the Adobe Creative Suite. Takashi was also responsible for designing Rapper Kanye West's album artwork for "Graduation". Click for links to Takashi's work and the Brooklyn Museum.

Eat, Sleep, Drink music

Eat, sleep, drink music, and make it. Honestly thats what I think it takes to really achieve success with your goals, also smart, steady grinding. It doesn't start with the money, though it helps. Scarcity of money makes someone hungry and persevere more than people with it. Here's a little something to keep you going during those all nighters working samples, drum patterns, and basslines, the MiniMug Coffee cup. Moog analog synthesizers have been in the game for a while, and they're no joke with its distinctive circuitry and unique sound that no other device can emulate. This machine has been used on countless records. Keep the inspiration going. Always keep things and people that motivate you around.

Where is Nas? At the 50th Grammy Awards.
Here is some pictures of Nas and his wife Kelis at the 2008 Grammy Awards promoting his new album. It's supposed to be released this month, being that it's Black History month. But there's not even a single in rotation. I think everyone has something to say about this release due to the controversial title "Nigger". Nas has always been one of my favorite MC's because of his amazing story telling skills and clever lyrics that any Rap audiophile can appreciate. Forget what the politicians have to say, after all there not the one's in the studio up all night working on that classic. They work on passing bills, to take more hard earned money out of our pocket's daily. They don't want people to be enlightened with truth. Forget about the critics they probably were never a subject of present day racism, which me and my peers still go through everyday. I think we all just got to sit back and wait for the release. I'll keep everyone posted when the album will be released. "Nas is coming"

Akai MPC5000 like a new Mecedes Benz CL AMG
Here are some photos and a video link of the highly anticipated MPC5000 by Akai now known as a household name in the Music Production recording world. This machine is very powerful with a first ever built in synth, and capable of doing all the work right in the box, no computer necessary. The MPC is due for release sometime this quarter, before the beginning of April. Akai can put me down on the list as a prospective client of this product. I called Guitar Center in Long Island City, Queens last week to see if they had it in the store, so I could go make a beat on it. The Pro Audio Representative told me that they only had the 500 in stock, and Akai is scared to come to Queens and service them with products. I'm not to sure about that one, It may or may not be true. I called my boy who works at Sam Ash in Brooklyn, he was definitely aware of the product and just as ecstatic as I was when were discussing the features. But his store didn't receive it yet, nor any news on it. Anyway I'll keep everyone updated and where to find relevant information.

Intro/Nike community billboard project

Hey people its ya boy Sneakeraddict!!! I was blessed enough to be put on this blog by my brother Musicaddict and this is my first post but you can expect sneaker info, randomness, fashion info, and just being put on to the new!!! Well today i bring you info on The Community Billboard Project, together with the Department of Youth & Community Development Beacon Programs in the New York metropolitan area on January 7. The Community Billboard Project was created to drive forward youth art and to exhibit their connection to their community through photography and with Ninety youth members of such community centers as the Research Foundation of CUNY in Brooklyn, the Harlem Children’s Zone, and The Southern Queens Park Association were armed with disposable cameras and a mission to capture their daily lives in their community through film.

From the many photographs submitted, images captured by Manika Nestor of Brooklyn, Eleny M. Ynoa of Harlem, and Joquin Tatum of Queens were selected to appear on one of the three Community Billboards in the Brooklyn, Harlem, and Queens metropolitan areas. The three billboards will remain on display until the 27th of January 2008. Following the installation of the Billboards, each community center celebrated their winner by hosting open exhibitions of their work for the community and their family and friends. Oh and did i mention this was put together by NIKE and that one of these billboards is right in my home, Flatbush those who have the chance should check it out its right by Prospect park train station.

Thanks to Freshness for the heads up.

Pete Rock, James Brown-The Soul Brother's from the Past and Present

Here's a prototype cover design of Pete Rock, the Soul Brother's "NY's Finest" album due out on February 26, 2008. The design looks reminiscent of James Brown "Hell" Album. Well they both are undisputed Soul Brothers.

Nike, Rane, and Serato collaborate

Nike, Rane and Serato team up to come up with a 25th anniversary white Scratch Live edition Air Force 1 sneaker. Included in the package is a custom-made laptop bag by well known Japanese company Head-Porter, a Serato interface, and vinyl record. It was created for a limited number of DJ's across the globe, and will not be available for purchase. Serato Scratch Live allows DJs to control digital audio files on their laptop with vinyl control records on their turntables. I still have to get my hands on my own Serato unit. I was a die-hard vinyl fan ever since I started DJing, and still one to this day. But I can't fight technology, some things you just got to go along with. It's not a way of being lazy, I believe it makes you life easier. Serato is the difference between lugging your whole vinyl collection with you to gig's or having you entire music collection on a hard drive and just carrying a couple of pounds in a backpack. Way to many risks in carrying your precious vinyl collection. When my car was stolen last year, I lost two crates that happen to be in trunk. I think Serato is one of the best things to hit the Digital DJ market in a long time. I recommend it for anyone that's a serious DJ and wants to take their set to another plateau.

Kanye's mother passes away

Kanye West mother Donda West passes away in the early morning hours of November 11, 2007 in Los Angeles California. According to the Associated Press. Donda West was a philanthropist, educator, mother to Kanye and others she won't be forgotten. Though I never got the chance to meet her. I would have said this world needs more mothers like you...that's loving, caring, supportive, even to the point to encourage her son to chase his dreams. A Producer, Rap star. She used to drive him to studio sessions. That's incredible. My condolences go out to Kanye and his family.

It's too late to call a Plumber.
