I am studying muscles this week and I can’t seem to get focused enough to actually retain anything I’m reading…this is not good.  I think I need to go somewhere else to study…there’s too many other things to do around here…sigh….

Pete is losing weight…I’m jealous. In all honesty though, I’ve not even entered the weight loss game yet so I really shouldn’t be jealous. He has been really watching what he eats and it’s making a difference. I, on the other hand, am not making an effort at all. Sheesh….I hate being a slug and I hate even more that I am not motivated…ack!

Seriously, I think it’s an energy issue, but how do you have more energy if you don’t have the energy to exercise to begin with…it’s a vicious cycle…how do you break out??

Quinceañera: n. a coming-out party held for a girl’s 15th birthday; a debutante ball or cotillion.

I had heard about Sweet Sixteen parties, but I had not heard about quinceaneras until just a bit ago. These parties are quite similar to Sweet Sixteen parties, but they are more elaborate and they are held by Latin families who have daughters who are turning 15. Families who do not have the funds for elaborate parties have small family celebrations instead. That is what we would have to do! Lol!!

The other day I was complaining to Sonya that I was bored…nothing sounded fun.  Cleaning, playing, watching tv, blogging…nothing…it all seemed boring.  I know, I know, how in the world can a mom be bored when there are tons of things to be done, but it happens folks!

About thirty minutes after my complaining ended, I noticed that I had a few extra kids and a frog in the backyard…Voila!  Instant boredom relief!! lol!!  How can anybody be bored with all the splashing of water and other sorts of craziness that comes along with a “pool party”?!

I fixed a bazillion quesadillas for lunch.  I think even the frog(who spent some time in the milk jug) had a good time…

I have always loved clever names…even clever beach home names! Here are a few Outer Banks rentals that have neat names. We’ve thought about going to the Outer Banks on several different occasions, but we always end up at Myrtle Beach instead. Old habits die hard, I guess! lol!!

I looked out the kitchen window and what did I see??  I saw Jake with little leaves tucked behind his ears…he cracks me up!  He reminded me of an elf…a large elf mind you, but nonetheless an elf.  He is such a goofy kid….it’s his charm!

I’m wanting something…well, two things actually. Yesterday, I saw a spice rack set thing at a friends house and I love it…and want it. Each spice was labeled and it looked so nice. So not only do I want the spice rack with the jars, but I also want a Dymo labels printer.

Seriously, both of these would be justifiable purchases, right?! I mean, I would save money because my spices would be labeled and I could find them easy…and I could label many other things too!! Woot!

Ive been sucked into How Clean Is Your House here lately…I’m just a little bit addicted but for good reason.  Kim and Aggie have the best fixes for getting rid of nasty filth and most of the solutions are made from things you find around your home.  Just a few days ago, Kim taught a little fellow how to clean mirrors with newspaper and a mixture of vinegar and water.  I’ve actually done this before but had forgotten how well it worked….so thanks for the reminder Kim!!  I now have several sparkling windows!!!

Next on my list is using fine grain sandpaper to clean the impossible crud in the toilet that the boys use…I’ll let you know how it goes.  If you don’t hear from me then know that I’ve croaked in the toilet because of all the toxic waste…sheesh…those of you who have boys know what I’m talking about! lol!!

Anywhoo…if you’ve not watched Kim and Aggie you really need to…besides the ton of info, these gals are just a hoot!!

It’s been two days since I last saw my tweezers and I’m NOT happy…in fact I’m fuming! I seriously don’t understand why my kids can’t keep their little paws off of my tweezers. I don’t know, maybe I have a problem, but I love to pluck hairs and if I don’t have my tweezers I can’t pluck hairs! Sheesh!!

I want these Rubis tweezers if mine don’t show up….
