The Hush Of Heaven Holds My Heart Today
 Father, how still today! How quietly do all things fall in place! This is the day that has been chosen as the time in which I come to understand the lesson that there is no need that I do anything. In You is every choice already made. In You has every conflict been resolved. In You is everything I hope to find already given me. Your peace is mine. My heart is quiet, and my mind at rest. Your Love is Heaven, and Your Love is mine.
The stillness of today will give us hope that we have found the way, and travelled far along it to a wholly certain goal. Today we will not doubt the end which God Himself has promised us. We trust in Him, and in our Self, Who still is One with Him.
This lesson is all about stillness, and God does come to you quietly and effortlessly. All that is ever asked of you is to receive Him, you don't have to go to Him. There is, in fact, no need for you to be astral at all. God is right here, right now, and if you are not having that experience then you don't want it. It is really as simple as that. You are told today that there is no need that you do anything, but don't confuse that with sitting alone in your room, praying and meditating, and not being active. The mind training of A Course In Miracles is very active, and you are always told that you need to give it away to keep it. Any experience, any revelation, that you have, must be extended, or you will forget that you have it. Because you are so easily distracted by the world and all its laws, because the past or future creeps up so easily in your thoughts, you do need to be active in giving away the message of A Course In Miracles. It is in that activity that you will find the stillness and quiet that you seek. You can be in the midst of a busy day and yet be totally calm, because you trust in God and you are not distracted by the chaos around you. At any moment, wherever you are, you can call on Him and you can trust that the answer is given. There is no need to worry, because everything is already resolved in God. There is no need to ask for anything specific, because God already knows what you need. The best thing to pray for is the peace of God. There is no need to go into specifics, because you don't know your own best interests. God's peace is yours, your heart and mind is still, the love of God is yours. Trust today that you are on the right track. You have A Course In Miracles in your hand, you are practising the workbook. Somewhere you have asked for help, trust that you have received the answer. Stay open every moment. God is active, your mind is active, everything changes all the time, you are brand new every moment. Don't ever assume 'you got it'. Your awakening is an active adventure that is always going on right here and right now. You are travelling on a road that goes beyond space and time. And like today's lesson says: the end is promised and the goal is certain. That is all you need to know. The hush of heaven holds your heart today because you trust in God. You are taken care of, and you know it.
My Holiness Shines Bright And Clear Today
 What a great lesson for today. It expresses an immediate extension. As soon as you say it out loud, you can feel it. There is an instant lifting, a lighting up, an immediate remembering that you are as God created you. You are what holiness is.
Today I wake with joy, expecting but the happy things of God to come to me. I ask but them to come, and realize my invitation will be answered by the thoughts to which it has been sent by me. And I will ask for only joyous things the instant I accept my holiness. For what would be the use of pain to me, what purpose would my suffering fulfill, and how would grief and loss avail me if insanity departs from me today, and I accept my holiness instead?
How much clearer can it be that you don't have to be in pain? How much clearer can Jesus tell you that there is no need for you to be depressed? Depression is a choice, it is your decision to focus on everything that is wrong, all the mistakes that you made and everyone around you makes, and so you stumble around in darkness. It doesn't have to be this way.
Salvation is really as simple as changing your mind about the choices that you make. It is a mind training. It is opening up your Course In Miracles and deciding to do the lesson for today. It is you saying, ' I have had enough of this, I don't like feeling this way' and allowing the change to happen. God is here, you are not alone. You can see this differently.
Father, my holiness is Yours. Let me rejoice in it, and through forgiveness be restored to sanity. Your Son is still as You created him. My holiness is part of me, and also part of You. And what can alter Holiness Itself?
Today can be a happy day, if you let it. Because happiness and joy is what you are. Remember how you were as a little child: unconcerned, curious and free to laugh. Jesus says, Be ye as little children, and He means it. Inside you is all the happiness and joy that there is. Let it be revealed to you. Forget about all the pains and worries, just for a moment, and remember God, your Father. It is okay to be happy. Let all the worries of the world go for just an instant and remember your Inheritance.
My holiness shines bright and clear today.
I Can Elect To Change All Thoughts That Hurt
 Loss is not loss when properly perceived. Pain is impossible. There is no grief with any cause at all. And suffering of any kind is nothing but a dream. This is the truth, at first to be but said and then repeated many times; and next to be accepted as but partly true, with many reservations. Then to be considered seriously more and more, and finally accepted as the truth. Today's lesson says it loud and clearly: pain is impossible. And that is truly amazing, because until now you have firmly believed that pain is possible and you try to avoid situations that will cause it. You do believe that pain is part of life, and you have never questioned it. Until now. Take a look at it. Pain is impossible. So when you experience pain of any kind, you are not real. By now your practice of A Course In Miracles should at least have shown you, and given you the experience, that there is nothing outside of you. There is nothing outside of you. So in any experience of pain or loss, all you can do is take responsibility for what is happening in your mind. You have stopped looking outside of yourself, blaming other people and circumstances, because you know that what you feel is in you and only in you. Now the solution can be offered you. Now something can happen. Now you can say to yourself, ' I don't know what is going on, all I know is that I don't like what I feel now.' And then you apply today's lesson. I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt. And I would go beyond these words today, and past all reservations, and arrive at full acceptance of the truth in them. You want to go beyond the words, you want the experience. And you have to ask for it. Ask for the experience, ask to go beyond the words. This is your Course In Miracles, you can receive what it offers you. But are you willing to go beyond the stories, the little meaningless ideas that constitute your world, to something that lies beyond? Only you can answer that question. Father, what You have given cannot hurt, so grief and pain must be impossible. Let me not fail to trust in You today, accepting but the joyous as Your gifts; accepting but the joyous as the truth. This is the prayer for today, this is the lesson that you need to learn. Not in concepts, not in some intellectual understanding, but in the experience. You don't have to understand today's lesson, you don't even have to believe it, just trust it for a moment and it will reveal itself to you.
What Limits Can I Lay Upon God's Son?
 Whom God created limitless is free. I can invent imprisonment for him, but only in illusions, not in truth. No Thought of God has left its Father's Mind. No Thought of God is limited at all. No Thought of God but is forever pure. Can I lay limits on the Son of God, whose Father willed that he be limitless, and like Himself in freedom and in love?
Today let me give honor to Your Son, for thus alone I find the way to You. Father, I lay no limits on the Son You love and You created limitless. The honor that I give to him is Yours, and what is Yours belongs to me as well.
Wow. The light is amazing right now, and very disruptive. Things are changing and moving, all I have to do is get out of the way and let go of any idea of what should be happening. It's the ultimate freedom. Let go and let God.
Today you are shown that you are without limits of any kind. Anything is possible. Really. All that is asked of you is to let go of all your petty ideas, and that includes the ideas that you think are valuable and keep you safe. It is an amazing experience when you let go of what you think keeps you safe, stand the absolute fear that arises in you and take full responsibility for it, and then see everything change and move around you. It is only the experience that can show you that you are perfectly taken care of. Words can't give you this experience and can't describe it. You have to do it. You have to trust and jump in with both feet. Trust in God completely and not in your own small ideas of safety.
Now you are in a great adventure. Expect the unexpected. Although, when you expect it it can't be unexpected, but anyway... Just stay open. You might suddenly have something new and unplanned come your way. This is what has just happened to me. I am suddenly going on a little trip and will be away for a few days. It all came together yesterday and I trust it completely. I know that every trip that I have been on, everything that comes my way, has offered me something that is priceless. It's all an awakening experience, it is all my undoing.
I will be away for 3 days, and I might not be able to post at all. This might just be the perfect thing right now. Stay on the lessons, open your Course In Miracles daily, just practice what it offers you. If you don't understand the lesson, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what you need to know. Everything you need is given you, you are one with God, He is speaking to you now. Just listen.
Creation's Freedom Promises My Own
 The end of dreams is promised me, because God's Son is not abandoned by His Love. Only in dreams is there a time when he appears to be in prison, and awaits a future freedom, if it be at all. Yet in reality his dreams are gone, with truth established in their place. And now is freedom his already. Should I wait in chains which have been severed for release, when God is offering me freedom now?
Today you are shown that creation's freedom promises your own. You are as God created you, created in His Likeness, and so the freedom of creation is yours as well. Deep inside you is a memory of your Father, all loving and all knowing, and that memory has never left you. It has nothing to do with this world, nothing to do with pain and suffering, it is an experience of joy and love and freedom. It is who you are.
The lesson for today shows you that you are free, that the prison in which you seemed to find yourself is not real. Your chains have been loosened and you can walk out. What is this prison? You, in a body, bound by the laws of this world. You have been shown that there is another world, you have been told that you are not a body and that you are as God created you. These are the keys to your freedom. Now you can drop all your old ideas and beliefs, the chains that have bound you, and walk into the sunlight.
How can I be the victim of a world that can be completely undone if I so choose? My chains are loosened. I can drop them off merely by desiring to do so. The prison door is open. I can leave simply by walking out. Nothing holds me in this world. Only my wish to stay keeps me a prisoner. I would give up my insane wishes and walk into the sunlight at last.
Lesson 31. I am not the victim of the world I see
There are 25 references to 'prison' in A Course In Miracles and 28 references to 'prisoner'. The reason is that you believe that you are imprisoned, but you've gotten used to it. Being so long imprisoned, you feel a safety in being bound and you are afraid to look outside of the rules and laws that you think give you safety.
Prisoners bound with heavy chains for years, starved and emaciated, weak and exhausted, and with eyes so long cast down in darkness they remember not the light, do not leap up in joy the instant they are made free. It takes a while for them to understand what freedom is. You groped but feebly in the dust and found your brother's hand, uncertain whether to let it go or to take hold on life so long forgotten. Strengthen your hold and raise your eyes unto your strong companion, in whom the meaning of your freedom lies. He seemed to be crucified beside you. And yet his holiness remained untouched and perfect, and with him beside you, you shall this day enter with him to Paradise, and know the peace of God. Ch.20.III.Sin As An Adjustment
Creation's freedom promises your own. Freedom is what you are, not your idea of freedom, but freedom as it is. Let it be revealed to you where your freedom lies. A promise of God is always kept, receive His Gifts today.
I will accept Your promises today, and give my faith to them. My Father loves the Son Whom He created as His Own. Would You withhold the gifts You gave to me?
If I Am Bound, My Father Is Not Free
 If I accept that I am prisoner within a body, in a world in which all things that seem to live appear to die, then is my Father prisoner with me. And this do I believe, when I maintain the laws the world obeys must I obey; the frailties and the sins which I perceive are real, and cannot be escaped. If I am bound in any way, I do not know my Father nor my Self. And I am lost to all reality. For truth is free, and what is bound is not a part of truth.
The lesson for today shows you clearly the power of your mind and the result you get when you accept all the littleness that this world offers you. It is your acceptance of the idea that you are a prisoner that makes you imprisoned, and everything along with you. You do not realize the effect that all your decisions have on everything around you. You truly believe that there is such a thing as a private thought, that you can think things 'for yourself' that no one knows about. You are mistaken. It is your biggest fear that all your thoughts and ideas and judgments are exposed, while in fact it is your absolute salvation. Accept now that everything you do, say or think affects all the universe. Now you are back at personal responsibility. Now you have a shot at salvation. It is in this place of total responsibility that you realize your need for the workbook lessons in A Course In Miracles. You need to change your mind about the world and about yourself. You need a mind training to unlearn all the things that you have taught yourself and that are firmly established in your thought system. You have bound yourself with all your beliefs, and your chains need to be loosened. You realize that you need help every moment and you also see that you need to lighten up. I mean that literally, to let the light in, but also that your salvation lies in your ability to laugh at the impossible position you seem to be in. If it wasn't for your oneness with your Father, you would be lost forever. He knows perfectly who you are, He created you in His Likeness and that is all He knows. God is completely unaware of the illusion in which you seem to find yourself, He is only aware of you as His Son. Now you are saved, because His Awareness is yours. Father, I ask for nothing but the truth. I have had many foolish thoughts about myself and my creation, and have brought a dream of fear into my mind. Today, I would not dream. I choose the way to You instead of madness and instead of fear. For truth is safe, and only love is sure.
Let Me Not Bind Your Son With Laws I Made
Your Son is free, my Father. Let me not imagine I have bound him with the laws I made to rule the body. He is not subject to any laws I made by which I try to make the body more secure. He is not changed by what is changeable. He is not slave to any laws of time. He is as You created him, because he knows no law except the law of love.
It's an amazing lesson, when you really look at it. It tells you that you are not ruled by a body and not bound to the laws you made that make your body seem more secure. All the laws that you take for granted, the laws for nutrition or health or aging, actually have nothing to do with reality. It's truly astonishing, because you have believed all these laws for so long, that they have become a reality to you. You live by them. And then suddenly, today, your Course In Miracles tells you that you are not ruled by these laws, and that you are not a slave to any laws of time. Talk about a disruption. How can you read this lesson and go back to your old beliefs? You can't. Somewhere you have heard the truth, you have been disrupted, and now all you can do is keep going. Let every step be revealed to you, let yourself be told where to go and what to do. It is the only thing that will bring you joy.
Let us not worship idols, nor believe in any law idolatry would make to hide the freedom of the Son of God. He is not bound except by his beliefs. Yet what he is, is far beyond his faith in slavery or freedom. He is free because he is his Father's Son. And he cannot be bound unless God's truth can lie, and God can will that He deceive Himself.
Just to be clear: A Course In Miracles is not asking you to break any laws. It is not telling you that your freedom lies in doing whatever you want, whenever you want, with no concern for the consequences. It is in fact asking you to look at again your beliefs, at the laws that bind you, and to go beyond them. There is a freedom that lies far beyond what your idea of freedom is. Freedom as you know it, is incredibly limited, because it still operates within the laws of the world. Breaking the law or following the law has the same outcome: you have made the law real, whether you follow it or not. Look at everything you hold true today, and question it. Ask yourself how you can be bound in any way. Look at the miracles that are happening and accept, just for a moment, that they are perfectly natural. Miracles happen naturally, they are not bound by any laws. You are a miracle. Be willing today to question every value that you hold, every law that you deem cannot be broken, and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. There is a whole new world available to you that goes beyond the laws of space and time and where you know with perfect certainty that you are as God created you.
