Blogging No More
The photo in this entry is At The End of The Day. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
In the last few weeks I have become so drained that I decided to put and end to most of my endeavors, including this blog. Since my start in January I have had much to express and share to the online world, until now. There are many transitions taking place in my life right now, all of which warrant more focus on myself.
I really wish I could continue writing inspiring entries for everyone to enjoy, I have simply run out of juice. Blogging has certainly been a fun and adventurous journey. I have learned much and gained many new and loyal friends. My writing has even improved. :D
I won't completely disappear from One Day At a Time though. I will stick around to answer comments on old entries and chat in my message box. I'll check back often to view links as well and make sure to keep the rest of this page updated. If I ever return to posting, it will certainly be here instead of a new...

Song of the Week: Never Win by Fischerspooner
The photo in this entry is Miss Attitude. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
This week I ma featuring a song I first discovered around this time last year. I wanted to become more familiar with the music by Fischerspooner. I found they have a unique sound of their own and this song surely lets it loose. I enjoy the way that Fischerspooner mixes a rock sound with electronica. Though this song is about some kind of anger or resentment, you can definitely rock out to it. I feel this song has attitude, and perhaps thats why I enjoy it so much.

Song of the Week: Loose Ends by Imogen Heap
The photo in this entry is Running After. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
I recently discovered this song. Ever since, I have been playing it a lot. I love the vocals, beat, and cheery sound despite what she sings about. Imogen Heap is my absolute favorite singer. I first began admiring her when I heard her in Frou Frou. Since then she has soared in her career, creating awesome tracks such as this one.
Loose ends is an eclectic track with thought provoking lyrics and a voice that will keep you in awe. I can't get enough of this song and it might even make you want to dance in your seat. Why not take a listen?

The New Changes at One Day At a Time
The photo in this entry is Busy Bee. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
I have not been blogging much lately because of all the busyness that has been present in my life. Some time has been spent to relax, while the rest was to catch up with things that needed to be done. Since I feel that I can no longer steadily spend my energy blogging about the topics I regularly do, I will be shifting the focus of my blog. I think its better than quitting blogging altogether.
The Loaded Questions and Song of the Week will continue, but other written posts will not. I will go back to daily posting as well, but this time I will be posting the progress of my Daily Photos project, which starts today. Every single day I will take a photo and post it here for everyone's viewing pleasure. The format for the weekly features will remain unchanged, but the Daily Photos posts will be the difference.
It has been a great journey blogging my heart out to the public and learning all that I have....

Song of the Week: Apologize by Timbaland ft. One Republic
The photo in this entry is Precious Moment. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
This week I am featuring a song I instantly fell in love with. I first heard it not too long ago. Although I had no idea who it was by until I found it online, I was glad I did. Now I can feature it here. :D
I enjoy this song mostly for its vocals. Although I'm changing it up a bit by giving you a video instead of just a player, I think its worth the watch. Not even the video shows the face of the singer, but he has a phenomenal voice. I know this because I have also listened to the original version that doesn't have Timbaland in it. Just One Replubic singing his heart out.
The beat of this song is great, and the way the melodies transition with the voice compliments it well. This is one of those sort of sad, sort of rythmic, very powerful songs. If not the only one, he he. I love it.
Without further ado, Apologize by Timbaland ft. One Republic:

Dealing With Drama
The photo in this entry is Curious Kitty. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
Lately I have been extremely burned out. I've reached the point where I hardly want to deal with anything that involves any kind of stress. There has been a lot of drama in my life recently and I've been dealing with it the best I can.
I find that my emotions are all out of whack and I can't even enjoy outings or things that would usually be fun to me like being crafty or taking photos. I need more time away, the stress I'm under is affecting everything. If I can get a guest blogger I'll be able to continue my blogging schedule fine, otherwise I'm going to have trouble keeping up.
What I need to do is get my heart, mind, and soul back into shape. So I need another breather. This time I don't know how long it will be for. Hopefully not too long. To everyone I know, keep in touch by email. :D Also, if anyone wants to keep up with new photography being uploaded, go here.

Song of the Week: Love Story by Layo and Bushwaka
The photo in this entry is LOL. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
I have been a fan of Layo and Bushwaka for many years. Love Story is my favorite of their tracks. Although the original is an instrumental, I decided to feature an alternative version with vocals. Its an interesting mix.
I love the sound of Love Story for its deep bass and soft rhythm. I can hear this song so many times over and over without getting tired of it because its sound energizes me. Its a great song to stimulate the imagination to create. Its beat will get your mind and body going.
This song has an interestingly unique sound which no other compares to. For me, its "up there". Try to distinguish the instrumental from the vocals and you'll be able to hear what I mean. This track is not complete, I apologize for that. If you would rather hear the original track in better quality, go here and play the first on the list.

Photographing My Brother's Wedding
The photo in this entry is Our Happily Ever After. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
Last Saturday my brother Efren wed his lovely new wife Teresa. I was responsible for capturing every moment I possibly could in photographs. Many improvisations, and close to 2500 shots later, my job was done. With the responsibility of being the main photographer I felt the need to give them the best visual memories I could offer. The task was one of the most difficult I have accomplished in my photography, and well worth the great efforts.
I began photographing the wedding upon my arrival at the church. I had no back up, so I had to work that much harder. Throughout the ceremony I was bouncing around trying to get as many angles and shots as possible. All the while trying to stay out of the way of the two videographers. We would have photographed the wedding party outdoors, but because it rained that morning, we were unable to.
After the ceremony, I took off with the newlyweds to a...

My Photography Moving Forward
The photo in this entry is Gratefully. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
Since photographing my brother's wedding, I have received a lot of compliments and gained new clients. I have been offered a lot of help as well with furthering the exposure of my photography. Although recently my weekly feature on Wallhogs was eliminated due to the blogger's busy schedule, I have plenty of new things to make up for it.
I will be making my own business cards soon for my photography service. One of my pen pals gave me a really neat idea a to how I should design my business cards. I really like it so I will try applying it. I will be holding off setting up a website until I finish editing all of the photography in my folders.
I have received 3 more offers to do photography since Saturday. I'm pretty excited and feel even more confident now that I've photographed my first event, and a wedding at that. After this, I'll likely move on to trying to get more of my photography featured and...

New Blogging Schedule and Photography Support
The photo in this entry is Wound Up. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez.
Well, since this last week with maintaining so many tasks and trying to catch a few breathers, I have decided to go on a new blogging schedule to better manage my time. For now I will be taking Mondays and Tuesdays off. It may change later, but I will make sure to let you guys know. Regardless, Loaded Questions and Song of the Week will continue. I need these days off to recharge after each week of constantly being busy and pretty much doing everything nonstop.
Also as an update, the wedding was AWESOME. I took photos nonstop from the beginning of the wedding until my brother and his new wife left after the reception. I'm serious, I didn't even drink anything and hardly ate at the reception. The photos will be debuted to the public within a few weeks, there are thousands! It was a fun day, and there were a lot of plan changes, but I rolled with the punches.
I'll tell you guys more about shooting the...
