I'm excited about the show, obviously. Ever since I was a kid I've thought about the power of music to reach millions of people. My heroes reached right through the speakers and changed my whole world. It's nerve wracking thinking about the sheer number of people who are going to be seeing what we're up to. There aren't so many times in life where you know you're about to experience something that will guarantee your life will never be the same. It makes me smile to think that I'm at that kind of crossroads now. I have the feeling this show will leave people feeling better off than when they turned the TV on. Being a part of that can't help but be a pleasure. I know I'll be learning a lot, absorbing a lot. Don't think I'll be bored much, even during down time. The idea of getting a bunch of lead singers together in one place is something that just never happens. I'd imagine that we'll have a great time together, picking up pointers and observing how other people work their craft. After years in the trenches of the business, sleeping four hours a night in a cramped motel room, eating pizza three meals a day, and playing in every small space never intended for a band, I have to say this whole thing feels like a vacation. I'm looking forward to enjoying my work more than I ever have...
