Comment on Father’s Day without Dad by Lisa Whorten

I think it is lovely that you took flowers to your Dad on Father’s Day. Just because he has passed on does not mean that you don’t have a father. He is still your father, even if he isn’t here right now. Our Pastor describes death as someone just stepping into another room. They can’t return, but one day we too willl enter that room. I kinda like that analogy.
The story of your mother’s cat was so sad. It was so unselfish of you to do what was best for the cat. She probably just struggled at the end because she didn’t see your dad right away. I’m sure he was there to greet his beloved friend, just as he will one day greet you.
Hope you are doing okay. I’ll be praying for you.

Comment on “You have a brain tumor” by KC

I thought you might find it interesting that I found this site while researching ‘crawling skin feeling/pituitary tumors’ and read about your Dad’s death, which in your writing you appeared to have a very similar relationship to him as I did my own…and that you would also have a pituitary/brain tumor, as I was diagnosed with one 18 years ago. I can empathize with your symptoms and anguish. My best to…

Comment on Time by KC

I thought many of your same thoughts six years ago in May when my beloved Father died … I wish I could say that the pain eases but I can’t, but it does change and you learn how to address it and live with it. I will pray for you to have peace and wisdom to know how to deal with and support your Mother and how to allow yourself to best continue to grieve. You have my greatest sympathy…

Comment on My Hero by Lisa Whorten

I have no magic words to say that will help. I just want you to know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Try to have faith in the fact that you will all be together again one day.
In Sympathy,
Lisa

Hey,
You should move out here. Freak is definitely in style. You may have to dye your hair green and get a few piercings. Hope you feel better soon.

Comment on Neon Signs by Lisa Whorten

He is so beautiful! I would have kept him too. I also have one of those signs. My husband says that he doesn’t know why all the strays always find their way here. I do! Where does he think all the table scraps go? I have the ugliest cat in the world that I kinda kidnapped from a home that was starving her because she is so ugly. (long story) But I love her! What is the dogs name? Hope you are doing well.

Hey Mrs. S
Wish I were enjoying a cocktail on the patio with you. I’ll have a pina colada! Thanks for asking about my Dr appointment. It went very well. I had a steroid injection in one knee and made plans to do the other next month. Also got some new medication. Today has been the first day in months that I could walk without pain. Thank God for that and for insurance. Half hour visit was almost $1200.00. Yikes! Hope you enjoyed your cocktail!
